A question for those with far longer Sydney TV memories than yours truly.
I get that the supers (if clips I’ve seen elsewhere online are anything to go by, Adelaide seemed to used this style a fair bit longer after Sydney moved onto the red look) and maybe one or two other branding elements were tweaked at some point during Autumn 1999 between the general channel On-Air Presentation relaunch and the new/red look news launching in Sydney & Melbourne, but how long was Seven Sydney doing this style of “News Update in the Newsroom” in the lead-up to 6pm bulletins during 1999?
Those snapshots were taken during YouTube uploads from Steve Rutherford and “For The Love Of Broadcast” respectively. The first one is definitely from May 10, the 2nd might be from May 31 - some of the stories in the two updates I’ve seen from that day include GST changes/protests, Olympic tickets and Australia’s progress in the Cricket World Cup, if that helps.
