The Nine ratings steamroller continued last night as Married At First Sight eclipsed the combined audience of its reality rivals, up 30k from last Tuesday. The new season of The Hundred With Andy Lee grabbed a big chunk of that lead in and also out rated 7.30 reality on Seven and Nine. The audience of 446,000 was on par with the previous February season 2 premiere that had 450,000 and was up on season 3 that premiered to 404,000 in August last year. The show launched originally to 470,000 in 2021. Earlier ACA won 6pm easily after Nine News had a rare 6pm win in Melbourne but lost everywhere else.

Seven got a small week-on-week bump from its multichannel line up with Idol, again in 11th place down slightly by 17k. Quantum Leap missed the top 20 again, though last week’s season premiere made the top 20 in consolidated viewing. Next week the show moves to a single episode at 9.30pm.

Australian Survivor was 10’s best performer despite edging down 15k from the previous Tuesday episode. It continues to do well in the demos and catch-up. The Project and 10 News again made the top 20. Adelaide news was up on Monday and Melbourne down.

ABC News did well again but 7.30 dropped below 400k with Better Date Than Ever dropping out of the top 20 to a season low. The show has been a disappointment though iView numbers have boosted the linear results.

Very close between Seven News and Nine News along the east coast.

It’s good that Nine persisted with this show and it has done well.

Seven have put all their eggs in one Idol basket and have only cheap imports that follow, which fail to find an audience.

Good Move by Seven to return The Good Doctor to Tuesdays from Next Week, The Quantum Leap Reboot’s just not as Good as the Original Series was.

Between Australian Idol joining their ever-increasingly long list of failed Q1 shows, 8:30pm/9pm overseas dramas not resonating with viewers and 7Bravo now struggling to establish a decent linear audience (after an okay but not cause for panic launch), it has been a shocking few weeks for Seven.

For a number of years now, the network’s programming department has demonstrated that they haven’t got their “finger on the pulse” when it comes to what Australian commercial FTA viewers want to watch nor how to program their main channel. What we’re currently seeing is the latest indictment of that.

So a breakfast TV show again makes the Top 20 and the 6.30pm Project which is in at the peak of prime time is nowhere to be seen.

Is this going to go on all year?

For our sake we hope not because that’s all you’ll be going on about all year. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe not. They have to put Neighbours somewhere. Perhaps cut The Project down to 30 minutes and air Neighbours at 6:30pm on 10. Surely it cannot do any worse then what The Project is getting at 6:30pm.

Well, if they’re only going to show CBS content to fill an hour, then maybe they should cut it back to half an hour instead. Not sure a Neighbours reboot is going to rate higher than The Project though.

Where would you put Neighbours?

Personally, I’d like to see Neighbours at 6.30pm and The Project run for an hour from 7pm.

I’d rather we had all our prime time programs run on the hour from 8pm in Australia.

Nine won all markets except Perth that was won by Nine. Nine won the key demos; Seven was second in 25-54 with Seven and 10 ties in 16-39.

Don’t worry. The Drum over on ABC that airs for the 6pm hour is nowhere to be seen either. So at least 10 is in the same company for the 6-7pm hour.

In other news, 7mate did well last night with Heavy Tow Truckers and Outback Truckers making the top 2 shows in the multichannel list. A good achievement.

Tennis factor?

Time to ditch The Project. Move reality forward to 7pm, like the golden age of Big Brother. Neighbour’s reincarnation at 6:30pm.

You think that is the goden age of television? :face_vomiting:

I didn’t say it was the “goden age of television”.
I said it was the golden age of Big Brother. Which it was.
