A very competitive Tuesday, saw Nine take out a narrow win over Seven while 10 posted its second +20% share of the week and won all key demos across network and main channel.

Nine’s share was its lowest for a Tuesday since January and featured a 200k loss by Nine News at 6pm. At 7pm A Current Affair dropped 120k from Monday but still won the timeslot. The debut of Frozen Planet II then averaged a modest 400k while ranking 9th in 25-54.

For Seven, news was again the highlight of the night with wins in all markets including Melbourne’s bulletin that was over 300k for the third consecutive night. Home and Away then managed 463,000 up slightly on the previous week. Following was We Interrupt This broadcast that again underperformed. Despite a lessening in competition, it slumped to a season low. The rest of Seven’s night was outside the top 20 with The Good Doctor continuing to perform below previous results.

Meanwhile 10’s I’m A Celebrity boasted the top entertainment offering of the night number one in its timeslot and number one in all key demos picking up 50k from Monday’s audience. Earlier The Project 7pm posted its highest weekday audience of the year while NCIS also benefited from the halo effect to make the top 20 with a 2023 high audience.

ABC’s night included Back In Time for The Corner Shop that was down slightly to a new season low. Earlier 7.30 had it best rating for a Tuesday this year.

Sunrise did well to make the top 20.

Im a Celebrity did very well and wins its timeslot. Good to resd that The Project posted its best weekday figure for the year. .

Seven’s We Interrupt This Broadcast still performing poorly.

With MAFS finished for the year, I’m a Celebrity posted a small gain but We Interrupt This Broadcast slipped even further.

Seven News had a big win in Melbourne.

Hopefully celeb can build with no MAFS. Need to pick up that lost audience from Sunday and Monday.

Not sure what’s going on with the News in Melbourne. I mean, not much has really changed, Hitch and co still exist. Hot seat only 30k odd behind, to be that far off, really weird.

Hot Seat winning timeslot in Brisbane but Nine News then falling behind. Maybe time for a Nine News refresh?
The Project not too far behind Home and Away with a much weaker lead in so not too bad …

How often has Nine Sydney been losing? Is this rare or common now?

Seven has won 2 weeks of the survey this year

From Nine

  • 9News wins timeslot across the 5 City and East Coast and in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth with GS + Child
  • ACA wins 7pm timeslot across 5 City and East Coast and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with Total People
  • Nine takes out the top 3 programs live streamed yesterday against all broadcasters: Nine News 6:30, Nine News, and ACA
  • Today wins breakfast slot in Brisbane with Total People
  • 9Network wins Tuesday with GS + Child and Total People
  • Channel 9 wins Tuesday with Total People

From 10:

Network 10 (10 + 10 Bold + 10 Peach + 10 Shake):

  • #1 network in under 50s, 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • Up 42% in 25 to 54s week-on-week, 34% in under 50s and 34% in 25 to 54s.
  • 10: #1 channel in under 50s, 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • 10: Up 111% in 16 to 39s week-on-week, 84% in 25 to 54s and 78% in under 50s.
  • 10 Peach: #1 multi-channel in its key demo of 16 to 39s.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!:

  • #1 show in under 50s, 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • Highest share of the season.
  • #1 in its timeslot.
  • Live stream views up 39% compared with the same episode in 2022.
  • Series: Achieves biggest live stream audience ever, up 35% compared with 2022.

The Project 7pm:

  • #1 in its timeslot in under 50s and 16 to 39s.
  • #2 in its timeslot in 25 to 54s.

Clearly WITB is a goner. If it was that good it would increase its ratings but it’s gone even more backwards. It shouldn’t come back ever again.

How about some genuine comedy shows that doesn’t come off as try-hard, dated or generic?

7flix (with no more Simpsons/Family Guy/American Dad) was up on the last couple of nights, still down a little on its usual Tuesday, but maybe Criminal Intent marathon proved more popular or Bondi Vet did better? Bravo still looks to be struggling. Seven can thank 7Two and 7mate doing much better, while Nine’s m/c also continue to disappoint. Bold and especially Peach still doing great stuff for 10, key demos especially.

Nine won Sydney by 5
Seven won Melbourne by 0.1
Nine won Brisbane by 6
Seven won Adelaide by 4
Seven won Perth from 10 by 2

10 won the key demos with Nine second.

Outside the top 20 included

Ten has come out fighting so well done to them.

However I dont understand why people are thinking Celebrity will build?

The numbers can only go down from here ulness they can manufacture some conflict or drama.

Please throw Olivia in the jungle and save the show for Ten’s sake.

I mean you wonder why i accused you of just trolling…

“Meanwhile 10’s I’m A Celebrity boasted the top entertainment offering of the night ****number one in its timeslot and number one in all key demos picking up 50k **** from Monday’s audience”

Less competition until next week? Even then Lego Masters and Farmer Wants a Wife are two shows which are shedding audience year on year so it’s not like they’re a threat anyway.

You are gaslighting.

I have acknowledged it is a good result but one hot day doesn’t make a summer.

They are going to have to pull out something big to keep the momentum. I hope they do. Lets see.

I would be putting my money on Lego Masters next week.

No youre saying its all down hill from here and send “Olivia” in to save it.

Youre contradicting yourself in your own posts and follow ups. Hence why you come across like trolling.

I think you’re trolling me mate because its pretty clear what I said.

And it is just my opinion.

Mixed messaging.

Anyway back to reality…
Celebrity did well to neutralise the gap between Sydney and Melbourne.
