The Australian Survivor grand final helped deliver 10 its best Tuesday share of the survey with an average national audience, a season high, over 700k (with no winner’s announcement). 10 also scored second ranking in the key demographic groups.
The result had 10 up but saw no dent in Nine’s performance with Married at First Sight up slightly on the previous week. Seven and ABC lost share while SBS was steady.
Seven’s Highway Patrol wasn’t competitive and down on the John Cleese Roast of the previous week. It was +100k below Back Roads on ABC.
Later The Hundred topped 700k to dominate its timeslot while Kitchen Nightmares was up on the previous week.
Tipping Point pulled well ahead of The Chase in the afternoon with its biggest Tuesday rating so far and second highest for any day.
Nine unstoppable, TP also looks to have boosted Nine News again (close to Seven News) and ACA again high. Hundred also did well. Strong result for 9News Late.
10 did well considering, would’ve been even better away from Married though.
Bad night for Seven, they wouldn’t have expected HP (including a first run) to perform really poorly like that after last week’s Roast low, but I think poorly scheduled against Married and a reality finale in Survivor plus constant weekly line-up changes. Although given this new Kitchen Nightmares and First Dates UK did okay.
And against a first run ep of Chase! Perth results will be very interesting. Wonder if the new chaser ‘Ligntning Bolt’ isn’t resonating with viewers?

Something we haven’t discussed or probably needed to this year, is the earlier daytime battle as was being analysed a lot the last couple of years and probably one of the reasons TPA was greenlit RE: the OG Tipping Point UK.
@TV.Cynic Are Nine still at an advantage before the 4pm audience builds with that lead-in vs Seven?
And what about even earlier timeslots such as midday to 3pm?
To be fair to Seven, The Chase from 2018 looks the same as it does now from what I can tell. For a regular viewer, there is less chance of you remembering you watched an episode from 6yrs ago than one from last year.
Tipping Point in Perth has another big impact on its second night at 5pm. Nine News lifts to 82,000, its highest rating since October last year. In 2023 the bulletin rated higher on just two occasions while on the equivalent night of that year it had 55,000. Tipping Point was with 1,000 of The Chase. Earlier in Perth Seven News had 25k at 4pm while Nine had 20k. Tipping Point is 90k ahead in the 5-city market.

Note that these are broadcast TV numbers. That may sometimes lead to PR releases seeming to differ as to which program won a market if the network is using Total TV numbers that included live BVOD.
Wow. This is an incredible battle right now. Nine is getting a lot right. Those Perth figures are unbelievable considering it’s only been 2 days with that lineup. If that trend continues, Seven Perth better be very scared.
