The Block’s third episode of the week continued the show’s winning momentum with another +1.2 million result that was almost 50k higher than the previous week. Next best of the reality offerings was My Kitchen Rules that featured the first gatecrashers of the season bringing in 876k, slightly lower week-on-week.
On 10, after a six-year break, Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen was back with a new season, network and host to an audience of 461k while for ABC, Foreign Correspondent was steady with 526k.
Later, The Cheap Seats had a nominal timeslot win steady with 450k. On Seven, The Rookie bumped Grosse Pointe Garden Society to later in the night and had just under 400k.
On Nine, AFL States got Footy Classified with 201k while the World Athletics Championships Day 4 had a 8:35pm main channel start in Sydney and Brisbane with the coverage averaging 305k.
Meanwhile, SBS’s coverage on SBS Viceland average 250k. That saw Insight on the main channel and a regular top 30 entry miss the rankings with just 166k. That followed Great British Railway Journeys Season 16 Premiere that had 146k at 7.30pm
Take 5 With Zan Rowe featuring Aaron Chen on ABC was steady with the PNG: The Road To Independence special dipping below 200k later in the night.
In an increasing close contest it was Nine News that came out on top at 6pm with the margin slightly higher than recent results on 44k. At 5pm The Chase closed the winning margin of Tipping Point to 161k. Earlier Sunrise surged to 441k while Today slipped to 316k. Deal Or No Deal average 276k after 10 News+ had 137k.

The Block was Australia’s No. 1 program with People 25-54 and People 16-39. It was also a dominant timeslot winner across Australia and in all metro capitals with Total People. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.975 million, a Total TV National Audience of 1.242 million - up 27.9% year-on-year and a BVOD Audience of 280,000 - up a huge 82.2% year-on-year.
The Block recorded its highest rating Tuesday night episode of the year, with 366,000 more viewers than its nearest competitor.
9News was the No. 1 program on Tuesday night across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with Total People. The combined national bulletins registered a National Total TV Reach of 2.115 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.381 million (up 14.5% year on year). On 9Now, it secured a BVOD Audience of 184,000 - up a massive 93.7% year-on-year.
A Current Affair dominated its timeslot across Australia and in all five metro city capitals with Total People. It had a National Total TV Reach of 1.789 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.177 million - up 16.4% on the same night last year. On 9Now, it registered a BVOD Audience of 158,000 - up an impressive 90.4% year-on-year.
Tipping Point Australia was the No.1 afternoon game show across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide with Total People. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.466 million and a Total TV National Audience of 776,000 - up 18.8% on the same night last year. On 9Now its BVOD Audience of 102,000 - was up an incredible 112.5% year-on-year.
World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 - Night secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.287 million a Total TV National Audience of 305,000 and a BVOD Audience of 46,000.
Footy Classified - Tuesday secured a National Total TV Reach of 583,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 201,000. On 9Now it achieved a BVOD Audience of 28,000.
Today was the breakfast program of choice in Melbourne and Brisbane with Total People. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 735,000, a Total TV National Audience of 316,000. On 9Now its BVOD audience was 53,000 - up 55.9% year-on-year.
The 9Network was the No.1 network on Tuesday across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demographics.
One of Nine News’s biggest margins at + 160,000. Seven’s result not helped by a very poor result in Sydney - lowest Tuesday since March with Brisbane also low.
The Chase won in Perth but Tipping POint was still 150,000 ahead overall.
Another good result for Sunrise - best Tuesday in 3 months. Today won Melbourne and Brisbane.
Yeh I think TC could start the comback. It definitely needs more MEGA MONEY spinning episodes as it did last night, more gimmicks = higher ratings! Probs eclipse TP next month….we can check back
The 161,000 if higher than the average gap of 2 weeks ago and the average gap this year. It’s the biggest Tuesday gap in 4 weeks. BTW Monday’s margin was 135k.
