For the second night in a row, Seven had the top network share while Nine’s main channel was number one. Seven’s share was up four as the network was more competitive at 7.30 this week while Nine was down five with no cricket. 10 dropped one and ABC and SBS did better without The Masked Singer grand final of last week as competition.

Post 7.30pm, 10 won the key timeslots with Dessert Masters continuing its good run with 451,000. That was 20k less than Sunday and Monday but an easy win in total people and demo groups compared to the commercial competition. Cheap Seats won the next timeslot on par with its usual results. Both featured in the top five of all key demo groups.

Seven’s 7News Spotlight special managed third at 7.30 behind ABC’s 7.30 to be 40k ahead of My Mum Your Dad that is stuck around the 325k mark. Following, Big Brother’s slide continued, down another 25k to 5th in its timeslot. An even later slot is calling.

Take 5 with Zan Rowe made the top 20 this week for ABC but was well down on this season’s average. Rose Gold that followed did poorly and was outperformed by SBS’s Lost City of Melbourne that was third in its timeslot.

At 6pm Seven continued its dominance as Nine’s bulletin was down including some a very poor Tuesday result in Brisbane that was a 2023 survey low.

If Dessert Masters can average at least 450,000 per episode 10 will be happy.

7News Spotlight’s special on the late Johnny Ruffo did OK.

Documentary The Lost City of Melbourne lifted SBS’s primary share.

I think you mean Sunday and Monday?

I reckon they’d have been hoping for more, HP rates around that these days, but ratings aside
 A touching tribute.

It is quite incredible that Seven can still win the night even with Big Brother coming in fifth spot at 8.30pm and the show dragging on until about 9.45pm.

Can they afford two and a half hours of it in one night though - that second ep will surely be below 100k given how ratings are falling.

I thought it might be too big a brand to dump to a multichannel but I don’t see any alternative now really.

They need to schedule 7.30/8.30 shows, The Latest at 9.30 (could even go 45 mins), then BB at 10/10.15 while it’s still running.

I wonder if this is also why Seven are hesitant to move BB to a m/c

Love Island gets 200k extra in BVOD so the two aren’t really compatible.

Let’s wait and see the figures for tonight’s double episode. I think Seven will be forced to pull the trigger tomorrow morning to limit the damage. I can foresee the season being played out on 7flix, or maybe even promoted as an “only on 7+ exclusive”.

They are better off with a random movie or US drama at 8.30pm as this season of BB is actively repulsing viewers and damaging the network brand.

Big brother has turned a good show into a dumb Love Island rip-off

I think Seven will believe they can still get some sort of an audience for the final live show with the Top 3 and the winner’s announcement

That’s better!
Winning overall and in Sydney, tied for 1st in Brisbane, and not 3rd in Melbourne !

Then they are deluding themselves, no one cares about pretty much any of the housemates because the edit doesn’t let us learn anything about who they are apart from being ‘good looking’.

Yeah I totally agree. I can’t see the audience connecting with any of them

With Big Brother also tanking in regional areas, it misses the top 30 VOZ rankings.

It certainly is a Big Bother. How can us armchair critics predict this was going to tank very hard just from hearing it’s premise yet Seven executives couldn’t!? Disaster.
