Ratings for Home and Away have taken a hot this week. 850k is the lowest Tuesday since March and up to 100k lower that some recent results. I guessing that some are choosing Family Feud Deal Or No Deal and will catch up on H and A during the week.

Nine won the 5-city plus three east coast markets with Seven ahead in Adelaide and Perth.

Nine News had a 100,000 win thanks to east coast results. The weather in Sydney pushed all four bulletins to close to their best results for the year.

The Chase had a rare win in Perth.

Sunrise was ahead at breakfast despite Today winning the east coast while News Breakfast recovered to be up 50,000 from yesterday’s low result.

Tipping Point not totally invincible.. beaten at 7.30 by 7.30 and Masterchef not far behind.

Not a great second offering for 10 News +. Beaten by ABC’s repeats of Hard Quiz and Antiques Roadshow.

And Stranded on Honeymoon Island? Not the greatest number out there either.

The Tipping Point Wimbledon Special did well enough for Nine.

Not the easiest (or fairest?) comparison, given 7:30 airs for 30 mins and Tipping Point was a 90 min special.

If you look at the average audience across 7:30 + Walking With Dinosaurs at roughly 442k viewers, Nine would’ve still been well in front by about 200k.

I think the 10 news + ratings would be what 10 was expecting. The success is measure on the 6-7 hour - is it rating more than that and does it cost less than what was there previously and it would see the answer is yes. Its rating higher than 6-7 normally rates and costs less than what that hour was costing previously.

It would also be good to see some 5 city breakdowns for 10 News +

Interestingly the Brisbane rating increased from day 1 which is why it looks comparatively high.

I won’t be able to post this regularly as it looks like interest in 5-city breakdowns had diminished a lot recently so it’s not worth adding extra work to the task of compiling the numbers.

Didn’t expect Sydney and Melbourne to be pulling the same numbers. Thought Melbourne would be much worse though it is only one night
 interesting.

Good to see Melbourne holding. I think that’s the city to watch the most.

Looking 5-city diabolical number at 174k for 6pm. But

Nationally, 10News+ grew from the 5pm state news bulletin in 16-39s. I think growth from the 5pm bulletins would be one of the key things expected from it. As expected, grocery buyers straight to 7 and 9 at 6pm. This will be an area if they want traction they will need to adjust their execution and possibly storytelling.

Itll be the 25-54 that 10 will be interested in. They specifically said they were moving away from 16-39 in favour of 25-54. And in that timelsot with DOND also at 7pm, its currently lower than what was there recently.

Not saying that is the end game (we know Ten is trying to bite into the Seven/Nine 25-54 sandwich) but that was the example available from the above numbers about growth from 5pm. That is the key message.

No i totally get it.
And as i also mentioned yesterday, even though its not performing great, its currenrly not dragging the networks other shows down, which gives 10 time to focus on adjusting and prompting the show.

Especially in the demos it wants, since the demos couldnt save the Project anymore.
