He probably got a few $$$ to back down from his claim. He was suggesting that they had actually filmed a pilot so to go back down on these claims are quite unrealistic.
They are really pushing the promos for this show. Thereâs one on every single ad break. I donât get though how the ads also give away the story, so what are people tuning in for?
I quite liked it. Might not be everyone cup of tea. I guess its like having ads for survivor every ad break. At least they are promoting Australian products and having something completely different on tv doing well might encourage networks to pick up more Australian products.
Ok, so, the format is great. Just what Australia needed. A change. New stuff to sink our teeth into, however, could the stories getting any more boring?
Week One: Guy eats too many eggs
Week Two: Teenage boy gets an erection
Both stories are quite common are they not? They also drag. 30 minutes to get to the boy getting a stiffy.
Like I said, itâs a great idea for a show but the stories themselves are letting them down.
The whole premise of tonightâs episode was given away in the preview at the end of last weekâs episode.
Must admit Iâm probably watching this more for the celebrity cameos.
Same here. I think the stories could have bern told in 15 minutes rather than the whole 30 minutes.
thatâs why thereâs 4 ads. the stories are 15 mins lol
Karl and Lisa interviewed Ryan Shelton (producer) on the show and Lisa used the word âcrackingâ and asked how they came up with the idea?
Ryan was saying he got stories from friends of friends and âwe didnât know what sort of sho⌠stories we would getâ
Why is there a mid-season break?
They havenât filmed the rest of the series yet?
Theyâve shown clips of upcoming episodes so I think theyâve all been filmed. They may not have finished editing them together though.
What a borefest. Not coming back to this. The stories are so boring.
Australian Ninja Warrior will be on for the next 3 weeks. True Story should return at the end of July.
Yeah, we all know that now but thatâs shit scheduling.
I donât get the benefit of giving it a break for 3 weeks.
non ratings period?
No - non-stop ratings until December.
TRUE STORY WITH HAMISH & ANDY
Episode Six â Tracyâs Wine Story
Tuesday 1 August at 8.40pm
True Story with Hamish & Andy returns with five new episodes from Tuesday, August 1, at 8.40pm on Channel Nine.
Each of the first five episodes has been watched by more than 2.2 million viewers (including encore screenings), making True Story one of the most talked about programs in recent years.
In each half-hour episode, Hamish and Andy meet one regular Australian storyteller who recounts their amazing, surprising, funny and above all true story, which is simultaneously recreated by a cast of Australiaâs most renowned performers.
In Episode Six we meet Tracy (played by Kat Stewart), an experienced hotelier, renowned for managing high-class luxury hotels and super-rich clientele. For nine years Tracy was the general manager of an exclusive five-star resort in Bali, where she was not only boss but also mother figure to her 200+ Balinese staff.
While Tracy is running this resort a wealthy American couple arrive for their private wedding. But what is meant to be the most special day of their lives turns out to be the most memorable for all the wrong reasons. And itâs Tracy who is left to clean up a very expensive mess.
Also starring in this episode are Sam Pang, David Roberts, Heidi Arena, John Batchelor, Dave Lawson and TJ Power.
A new day and time already? This must be too successful if theyâre looking to confuse and alienate viewers after establishing it on Mondays at 7.30.
Seems strange that they couldnât at least keep it on a Monday to follow The Block - perhaps not wanting to have a comedy up against Tenâs HYBPA.
Probably. Especially given that Hamish is on HYBPA from time to time - they definitely wouldnât want to go up against an episode that Hamish may be scheduled to be on.
