Agree - think Jonesy & Amanada could work really well as a drive program. From what I’ve heard of JAM Nation, they do a format which could easily become a national focused program rather than a Sydney program repurposed as a national show.
So all the comments which were generally deemed offensive and disgusting are shared by you?
It was a joke… hes a comedian. I do not bow into cancel culture… I simply laugh and move on.
According to Radio Today (& Radioinfo), those new shows will indeed be called The Rush Hour.
What a backflip!
Why don’t they give Perth and Adelaide local Rush Hours again? Melbourne Rush Hour doesn’t even suit Triple M Perth. Not to mention delayed.
Hahahahahhahahaahahah…
Ridiculous work from SCA here. Killed off the show. Made people redundant across the country. Now they’re bringing it back.
How unoriginal. Surely there’s a better name out there. A PR disaster.
Here’s a lesson for SCA. Keep good talent close, and lose the expensive talent. They would’ve been better off being loyal to the previous Rush Hour teams, rather than prioritising seeing out Marty’s contract (which ended up failing in the end).
Let’s face it, Marty should’ve left SCA the moment his underperforming 3MMM Breakfast show got axed.
If the ratings hold up then they probably will pocket the cash.
Does Perth at least get the music swapped out in the delayed version?
What’s happening with Troy Ellis I wonder? Or will he be saying on from 15:00 to 16:00?
Believe so - same as Mix with Carrie & Tommy.
Free up Marty’s salary and suddenly they can spawn 2 new shows. Perhaps if they got rid of JB’s salary they could bring back WA and SA too.
No chance of that happening considering JB’s involvement with Triple M’s AFL and cricket coverage.
JB does the footy though.
Noticed something quite unusual tonight whilst dial twiddling.
Triple M stations in Sydney, Newcastle, Gosford and Port Macquarie/Kempsey were all running the same log, but NONE of them were in sync, Sydney furthest ahead about 1.5 songs ahead of Port/Kempsey, who weee the furthest behind, Newcastle and Gosford were somewhere in between those two with Newcastle ahead.
I did hear earlier Newcastle appeared to be having some post game NRL talk after the Knights loss, Sydney were already playing music by then, not sure if Gosford or Port might have taken AFL or left the NRL coverage at different points that might explain them not being in sync with their logs.
He also does Cricket. I’m not saying they get rid of him at all. I’m a fan.
But clearly JB is paid a lot and it meant that there were budget cuts that ended the WA and SA Rush Hour shows.
How much Brayshaw is paid is both unknown and irrelevant. The state based Rush Hours were axed to cut costs.
and clearly SCA thought Marty’s show was a stronger proposition than those local shows, after the overreatction they had to bring some back in but presumably at a lower cost than originally. But it’s all a bit embarrassing.
What’s embarrassing is that SCA is promoting the drive show as “live and local”.
Live maybe. Local it is not.
If its anything like the Melbourne Rush Hour, only part of the show is live
Couldn’t even been arsed changing the opener.
Triple M have reverted back to their pre-2023 intro and outro music for its AFL coverage/pregame shows. Noticed the change at the start of the Thursday Rub tonight.
