Lachy Reid and former 2006 West Coast Eagles Norm Smith Medalist Andrew Embley will front a local Rush Hour program starting Monday 22 February
Obviously prerecorded as itāll be available as a podcast before itās 6-7pm airing, plus he has sports presenting duties at 10 News First Perth.
We finally got the announcement for the Rush hour team.I will tune in.
As soon as lockdown being imposed in Victoria Triple M Melbourne (and I presume its regional Victorian stations too) has announced a āLockdown 200ā countdown from Monday.
I love that Troy Ellis back announces the songs by artist and title. Seems this is rarely done these days which is disappointing. Sue Gudinski would be so happy!
No sign of Luke Bona on Regional WA or Sydney MMM, anyone know whatās happening?
Heās not on anywhere, Iām guessing no replacement could be called in if heās sick
Luke is back on this morning
Yes he was off last night as he bored even himself to sleep. Itās a terrible show, random calls about random topics with him dragging out conversations with callers with little to not interest. Play music.
This might sound too 90s/00s, but since Triple M broadcasts in most places of Australia⦠Bring back āThe Big Rig Gigā or something similar where Truckies and night shift workers request rock songs as well getting all the information what is going on our roads and anything that is going on in the Trucking industry.
Iād prefer it if truck drivers arenāt pulling their phones out whilst driving a huge vehicle in the middle of the night to ring up a radio station. ![]()
Havenāt you heard of Bluetooth or hands free kits? Widely available now and cheap.
As long as itās set up and ready to go before truck drivers hit the roadsā¦last thing we need is them fidgeting around setting up Bluetooth in the middle of the night on an unlit road.
A lot of people enjoy the show, itās very popular. Playing music becomes so monotonous. Thereās plenty of other options nowadays
Thereās more than enough mindless talk and chatter in almost every other Triple M timeslot that hearing just music would be quite refreshing!
I prefer a music focused show with an announcer who doesnāt talk too much but might discuss the music and some current events, but not too much. Canāt stand all the talk on Triple M, it seems mindless to me.
Oh thereās too much talk on there, canāt argue with that. Out of 24 hours 16 of them are shows.
In saying that though for radio to remain relevant it needs to be live, engaging content. (I was about to say local haha).
There is definitely a few things Iād be removing if the schedule, repeats of Melbourne breakfast would be the first, but I really enjoy Lukeās show, I think itās really good especially working night shifts a week every month.
Triple M Melbourne is playing More Mushroom Music today following the death of Michael Gudinski
Perth really is 30 years behind.
