I’m such a plane nerd these days,:airplane: I use the Flight Radar 24 app to track my flight(s) Look up details of the aircraft I flew on ,how old it is,registration, etc.
I’m not a professional plane spotter as yet ,those folks who go to sites close to Brisbane Airport with their expensive cameras , take photos of planes and have a special radio so they can listen to conversations between pilots and air traffic controllers

The deal struck between Brisbane Airport Corporation, United Airlines and the Queensland Government means the world’s largest carrier will more than triple the number of United flights between the US and Brisbane, just six months after the airline commenced its first ever services to the State.

United Airlines Northern Winter Schedule released today, will see the airline operate 10 services a week between the US and Brisbane by 1 December 2023.

Making up for the gap left by VA leaving the US market.
UA is really starting to dominate the Australia - US market, have to wonder if QF will react once it gets its remaining 787s on board.

I am also applying for my first ever passport for a trip to Thailand in September with many of my family (mostly on my Mum’s side). I got my passport photo done just a week ago. Unfortunately I will be flying with JetStar however.

If the photo on my passport (when I get it)turns out like my most recent drivers licence photo, why do these photos make me look so ugly ?

Happens to most of us I think.

Rex Airlines has announced it is reducing services on nine routes across four states from May 1, plus suspending the Mildura-Adelaide service from the same date.

The age of the Saab fleet is really starting to have an impact.

A number of these routes Rex made a big song and dance about improving services too less then 12 months ago too. You’ve got to wonder what their regional strategy is now with an aging fleet with no apparent plans to improve.

EDIT: I know regional flights are expensive - but these are insane (and Rex also offers some pretty wild alternate routes)

I stopped trusting them in 2010

I wonder if Bonza starting up cheap flights from Mildura has had any impact. I have never seriously thought about flying from Mildura because of the price but grab some $69 tickets to the Sunshine Coast. They also have flights to Melbourne which think is around $49. This has got to put serious pressure on Rex and Qantas.
