From next Tuesday (March 26), Journey Beyond will launch Gold Premium carriages on The Ghan (Adelaide-Darwin) and Great Southern (Adelaide-Brisbane) trains.
Sitting between Gold and Platinum, Gold Premium guests can expect elevated amenities with their twin cabin, including an ensuite bathroom for less cost than the Platinum offering.
There is also a Gold Premium Suite featuring more space, a three-quarter-size double bed plus a fold-down upper berth and a lounge area.
Hamilton Island has gone cashless, but is keeping the 1.25% surcharge for all ācreditā and ātap and goā transactions made on the island via credit or debit card.
There have been stories in the news about Adelaide not liking the nickname Radelaide. I agree with those that think that thereās nothing wrong with calling it Radelaide. Itās a bit of gun.
All companies facing bankruptcy pull that line. They need to, as the slightest sense of insolvency, sales then evaporate. In these sort of events, you need to basically ignore the companyās mouthpiece and look at whatās happening around the edges.

Melbourne Airport is set to upgrade the T1 Qantas domestic security screening bringing it in line with T3/T4 domestic screening where passengers pass through without having to remove laptops, tablets and aerosols from bags. Construction is scheduled to be completed next year.
Construction has begun on a temporary screening point at the eastern side of T1 and will open in August.

Currently at Cradle Mountain in Tasmania, Hotel Accommodation is okay at $230 pn, but $58 for Dinner and $13 for a schooner of beer is steep! Iām not really surprised though.
My brother had a flight later this week, just got the cancelled email āengineering requirementsā. Rebook costs of $750 with J* and a Bonza refund in a few months.
I reckon we might hear something this week. Seems like they have had a week or two to work out what they want to do next.
They changed my (planned) return flight in a couple of weeks to a completely different day so decided with all this uncertainty that it would be prudent to pull the pin on the whole trip now while I could still cancel my accommodation without change.
