Nah, it would have to be old am!
Why not call it Old Gold FM and get that Cadbury advertising bucks.
The Xtra idea came from one of their old station logos. Whats old is new again
In my home country, The Simpsons will play on TVNZ 2 at 6pm weeknights and on TVNZ DUKE at 7.30pm on a nightly basis from next week (16 June).
A sneaky peek at what the logos might look like if WIN were to take over the Nine Radio talk stations.
Funny you should say that.
Back in the day, the original owners of 2GB wanted a GB in every state. Maybe its a step towards a 3GB, 4GB etc…
Google Bruce McCarty, theres a whole ebook on radio history he’s done.
Or “Newstalk GB” which could incorporate 2GB (Sydney), 3GB (Melbourne; formerly 3AW), 4GB (Brisbane; formerly 4BC) and 6GB (Perth; formerly 6PR). In New Zealand (my home country), ours is ZB where we had 1ZB (Auckland), 2ZB (Wellington), 3ZB (Christchurch) and 4ZB (Dunedin).
I’d imagine they call it Macquarie something.
Only one of them is actually from BBC News ![]()
The other options are based on
- TV2 News Denmark,
- Thai PBS’ world news,
- The new open for TV2 News Fyn, local news from Odense (southwest of Copenhagen), and
- Franceinfo’s special report intro, but kind of a stretch
