It’s more complex than that. They’re actually using the former ABC3 News set. During the switch from green screen to that, ABC3 News was rebranded BTN Newsbreak in the process and it’s a very different show now.

How the 2020 return of Gogglebox Australia should be promoted in light of recent cast changes, the inevitability of Married At First Sight reviews and remembering a bunch of people that were featured on Australian TV last year who I suspect would have way more interesting opinions about MAFS (and other programs in the genre) than anyone we’ll see on their couch next Wednesday or Thursday night!
If only I could’ve squeezed in a reference to Seven, there would’ve been something for all five major FTA broadcasters. But still, I managed to get both of my favourite “reappeared on primetime TV about three years after a news report” groups in there!

Slide 1: Self explanatory (one would like to think so anyway).
Slide 2: The casts of Love Me As I Am (Johnny, Liz, Brittanny, Alex & Ryan, Adelaide, Jessica) and Love On The Spectrum (Kelvin, Chloe, Jimmy & Sharne, Andrew, Maddi, Mark, Olivia, Michael, Ruth & Thomas - that last couple like The Jacksons, were on a news report before primetime some 3 years later), the people who were on Australian TV last year who I suspect are likely to have way more interesting opinions about shows like MAFS than any Goggleboxer ever would.
Slide 3: The new Goggleboxers of The Elias Family, Milo & Nic + Kaday & Chantel…who fairly or unfairly are probably going to be be compared with The Jackson Family, Adam & Symon + Angie & Yvie respectively if they haven’t been already!
Overall it’s probably not an idea that will click with everyone (although two likes suggests that it’s a reference that some here get), but at least I’m trying to bring topical tongue in cheek mock ideas to the table compared to some of the others who’ve recently been inundating us with those Ro-blox mocks!
