Just copied from Sunrise.
They’ve used “(name) on Sunrise” for years as well as “(weather presenter) is in (place)” which Today also copied.
It’s like the use of CDs to acknowledge music tracks on show promos used by 7, copied by others; then the short end boards on promos that 7 started and others copied.
Yes, before you slam me, they all do it. 7 copies stuff as well.

Can someone take Maggie out of her misery? This news bulletin is hard to watch. Where’s Sarah Stewart, Lara Vella, Gabrielle Boyle, Isabella Staskowski, Christine Ahern, Andrea Crothers, Belinda Russel, Deb Knight, the list goes on.

That graphic (and Nine’s promotion of today) is the definition of misleading and deceptive conduct.
Considering Fox can show the game on delay, Nine has exclusively live rights for the NRL GF. As for the NRLW GF, they have no exclusivity at all - Fox will also be showing the game live.

It says exclusive live and free. Which is correct. You have to pay for Fox and Kayo.

It’s not correct - Nine doesn’t have complete exclusivity for either game.
I think they’re trying to point out to viewers that all games are free on Nine. Exclusively free. And Live.

Nine really needs to use the Clint Stanaway replacement as an opportunity to appoint someone who could potentially take the reins from Karl one day.
Chris Kohler, James Bracey seem to be the best options. Sadly there doesn’t seem to be an immediate heir apparent or a strong rotating family like what Sunrise have

NRLW Grand Final was aired on Nine this afternoon.
Wonder if they’re ‘at war’ with the NRL (which wouldn’t be a good look as the network is broadcast partner), following Peter V’landys’ scathing attack at them earlier in the week and maybe are offended?

Today beat Sunrise in the 5-city market on Monday that was a public holiday in some markets. 200,000 to 189,000. While Sunrise was extended to 10am that portion of the broadcast had a separate coding.
