I get that it is likely referring to the whole week, but given the NRL basically ceded Saturday to the AFL with the scheduling of the Prelim Finals, what else were they supposed to cover?
Technically both stories could be. The accuracy of the interpretations of coverage from the two sides might not be though.

It doesn’t really matter anyways. East coast has the NRL and AFL but the west coast and central part of Australia have AFL.
So i think it’s good to have both sports on Breakfast television.
Plus I reckon especially in NSW the clubs members in the NRL were complaining that their teams weren’t in the finals

Karl made an appearance this morning during Teddy Swims appearance. Today’s Grand Final coverage wasn’t very extensive and relied a lot on clips from last night’s Countdown special on Nine.
