Looks like the whole team will be in Dubai next week
Soulless breakfast show heads to soulless city.
Too harsh?

I just don’t see how it benefits the viewer at home. Why would I care where they are?

Yeah, it’s an entirely commercially driven thing.
Dubai will be paying a shitload for it, but there’s a disconnect between the show going and the viewer caring at home. It might get some tourist interest/return for Dubai as a result but it’s not a viewer first initiative.

They could have done without the advert for the hotel this morning and instead focused on what the tourist attractions are.
And which viewer at home can afford $1000+ a night to stay there?
They are so out of touch.

I feel like they’re focusing on the attractions not the hotel.
The caps above say otherwise.

The hotel is probably a key part of the pitch though?
Won’t be a good look when you have a flooding disaster in Australia but the hosts are reporting from overseas on a luxury jaunt. Are they going to be interviewing disaster victims who have lost everything from a luxurious $1000+ a night hotel?

Sunrise should be live from NNSW/Taree with these floods and be on the ground. Captialise on the lack of Today show presence.
Why there’s so many negativity. Yes there’s floods. But I think I’d reckon they planned this beforehand.

Sure, they would have but alter plans and not send the whole crew.
Sunrise did this when Christchurch had an earthquake and they were heeding overseas for an OB. They sent Kochie over to NZ to be on the ground.

There’s probably economy rooms starting at $950 P/N
Flooding disaster is in a part of NSW, not Australia
Are you suggesting they should ignore it because it’s only in one state?

I’m suggesting NSW is not Australia

And which everyday viewer of TODAY has that spare cash?
Are you employed by TODAY or Nine? You seem to be picking away at the negative and trying to find fault with what others are saying.

JBar didn’t say it was.
He’s saying it is a bad look having the show in a beautiful location overseas when there is important news back home IN Australia.
