The yellow and blue really clashes with the red on the set and all the lines look very ordinary, I don’t know why they don’t use the other side of the video wall which looks cleaner.
That or the other video wall in the soft set area, which barely gets used.

Both Leila & Deb are great fill-ins for Today show with Karl.
Perhaps Leila can be the new Weekend Today show co-host along side maybe Charles Croucher or Ben Fordham?

Ally is due to be out of action for a while after accident with further surgery in Sydney according to Daily Telegraph report.

Given they’ll be back in North Sydney this week, I doubt they’ll go to the trouble of getting Leila to make the commute down.
Most likely we’ll see Deb Knight or Lara Vella.

Has she ever filled in for Ally apart from over summer. I wouldn’t have thought she’d be even a consideration.
I’d think they would use Sylvia before Lara - depends whether she was taking leave because Today Extra is off air while the Tennis is on.

Ahh yes, completely forgot about Sylvia. Could she be on annual leave though whilst Today Extra is off over the Australian Open? That may rule her out then.
Otherwise Belinda Russell would be another option.

That wouldn’t be a problem if they wanted her to do Today. She spends a lot of time in Sydney when they need her to be for ACA.
Maybe they can reunite him with Richard Wilkins next week, if Ally is still off recovering. 
Did Karl and Ally host on Thursday morning and then travel up to QLD? The article in the Daily Telegraph says the accident happened on Thursday at around 7am.

I feel like they would use Sylvia or Belinda, before considering Lara (even Deb to be honest) and definitely Dickie.
Pretty sure they hosted Thursday morning at North Sydney and then traveled up Thursday afternoon and Ally injured herself Thursday afternoon though I could be wrong on when she actually injured herself.
