After getting a good lead in from Today, Today Extra had one of its highest ratings in recent months and tied with TMS in the metro market, both on 144,000.

Summer series starts on Monday.
Way too early. Know David and Sylvia are liking hosting Today next week, but Dickie, Tim and Belinda could keep the show going another two weeks. Happens every year.

With Today winning the metro ratings yesterday, Today Extra was just 1,000 behind TMS 125,000 to 126,000.

These summer shows are a mess. This morning for example, Today closed at 9:03pm. Then there after 4 minutes of ads Richard Wilkins and Sylvia with a standing opening with Sylvia: “… we stopke to” then it was suddenly Sylvia and David seated. Then after an interview at the desk it was onto the couch. Then after the infomercials it was on the conch but a change of clothes. Then … a complete change of hosts with Belinda and Richard.
And of course ratings have plummeted.
Metro yesterday was 147,000 for TMS to just 97,000.

That’s basically just best-of compilations, isn’t it?
If it’s live and this messy, well, they deserved the numbers.
