For years and years people have been screaming and begging for Tim Bailey to be fired or replaced and now that he finally has people are trying to find alternative roles for him?
How very strange.
Side note: nothing wrong with Tim Davies on weather.
Also, Iām assuming legally Natasha Belling is still contracted to 10, so I canāt imagine anything could be announced prior to that ending (depending on the contract)
As stated in the article, there have been no conversations and Nine is going to continue with Alex reading news and sport. Itās just not happening Wickie told me
History seems to repeat. This time last year the same Daily Telegraph author wrote an article about another 10 star, Carrie Bickmore, joining Today.
They might have not āapproachedā Carrie but there wasnāt a denial that the idea was floated. This time the claim of them āeyeing offā Tarsh wasnāt denied, but I donāt think there was enough foundation to the DT article to begin with for it to be taken as anything beyond speculation.
Keeping Alex doing both roles is a mistake. The show severely lacks the āfamilyā vibe sunrise has. Thereās no discussion at the desk. Itās just Karl and Ally being mean to each other. The need a Tracy type to get the talkngoing.
ā¦so Nine should poach Natarsha Belling so theyāve got another ex-Ten presenter to not really use to their best potential and shaft around high profile positions?!
Iām not one of them. Tim Bailey was annoying 15 years ago, more recently heās been unbearable to watch to the point that itās likely Illawarra & Canberra viewers would cringe and groan at his forecasting style while waiting for WIN News to come on.
He said they are not currently looking, plus no one is saying or expecting her to join tomorrow and for it to be all happy days. Today might find itself in 3, 6 or 12 months time looking for someone to join and it could be her or someone elseā¦
I find it hard to believe that what he says is set and stone in an environment that continually changes and tries to evolve.
Itās all well and good for people to keep calling out the diversity card but there has actually be diverse journalists to hire, which there doesnāt seem to be many at all. Its not the networks fault that most people in the industry appear to be white.
Thatās because the TV industry, in particular channel 9 is all family members and partners/friends who all come from rich backgrounds. Of course thereās the exception to the rule but this is what I have noticed. You could draw a family tree with nine.
