The last Thursday of the survey period featured a split schedule for 10 with the Matildas taking on Brazil to an average audience of 401k. That was slightly less than the Socceroos’ audience from two Thursdays ago. It saw 10 up three on the previous week as Nine won the day by one point.
Seven had success with a double episode of Highway Patrol drawing 663k and 632k to lead an RPA repeat on Nine with 583k while Top Gear that was shown in four markets had 211k for 10.
Later Emergency with 547k was well ahead of The Front Bar’s final 2024 episode that had 427k, up 20k on last week. Meanwhile ABC’s Grand Designs was up slightly to 489k .
The afternoon again saw another +100k win for Tipping Point over The Chase that continues to underperform since the axing of Gold Coast News in the timeslot. That saw Nine News up to a five-week Thursday high, though Seven still won at 6pm by 55k.
At breakfast Sunrise was above 400k while Today had 340k, its highest rating in three weeks and well above it recent averages.
9News was the No.1 program of the night with People 25 to 54, GS18+ and Total People across the 5 City Metro and in the three largest markets of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.744 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.074 million - up 14.8% on the same night last year. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 84,000 was up an impressive 73.9% year-on-year.
Love Island recorded a National Total TV Reach of 350,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 220,000 million up 11.8% on the same night last year. Its BVOD audience was 186,000 - up 23.2% year-on-year.
Tipping Point was Australia’s No. 1 afternoon game show with Total People across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.132 million and a Total TV National Audience of 639,000, lifting the timeslot by 57.0% when compared to the same day last year.
A Current Affair dominated the 7.00pm timeslot with Total People across Australia, the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.397 million and a Total TV National Audience of 949,000 up 10.2% on the same night last year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD audience of 67,000 up 55.9% year-on-year.
RPA secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.385 million, a Total TV National Audience of 583,000 and a BVOD audience of 41,000.
Emergency secured its timeslot across the 5 City Metro and in Brisbane with Total People. It recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.063 million and a Total TV National Audience of 547,000. On 9Now, its BVOD audience was 31,000, up 30.5% year-on-year.
Today was the No.1 breakfast program with Total People in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 785,000 and a Total TV National Audience of 340,000. Its BVOD audience was 36,000, up 28.1% year-on-year.
The 9Network was the No.1 network across the 5 City Metro on Thursday with People 16 to 39, GS18+ and Total People.
9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD platform on Thursday with Total People and all key demographics.
Big day for Nine winning news, breakfast and afternoon with Tipping Point scoring another clean sweep of all markets.
More people watched Nine News Brisbane than Seven News Sydney.

Wow what happened with The Force at 7pm, that’s awful, unless I’m reading it wrong or coding error? Highway Patrol in comparison (although first runs) like triple the lead-in!
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Force dropped then, save for upcoming cricket tests anyway, with HP moved to 7pm (classification depending - I’ve noticed this new season seems to be rated “M”) or maybe good 'ol Border Security. Force probably only rates on 7mate on their “Whoop Whoop” Wednesday line-up.
