Round 18 of the AFL got underway and was on Seven’s main channel in three markets with Brisbane winning over Carlton. The average audience was up slightly on the previous week to 554k, a five-week high. The other two markets had Clarkson’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire UK on their main channels averaging 228k.
For Nine, NRL Women’s Premiership saw the Bulldogs beat the Tigers with an average rating of 236k, down 50k week-on-week. RBT and Emergency aired in three markets to 232k and 227k. The Wimbledon Semi Final coverage that started 10:00 pm AEST had 220k.
Joanna Lumley’s Danube was on its fourth and final leg, this week making the top 10, despite a season low of 435k. The Grand Designs Australia repeat that followed had 301k.
Meanwhile, 10’s only prime time entry for the night was Airport 24/7 with 355k, down 30k. Deal Or No Deal was next best but dropped to 248k while Law & Order: SVU then had 200k and 10News+ slumped to 150k.
On SBS, the Tour de France coverage saw 157k tune in for stage 6 coverage.
The close news battle continued at 6pm with Nine’s bulletin pulling 40k ahead of Seven’s while earlier, Tipping Point had a 200k win over The Chase.
