Slightly better than TVNZ 1, still room for improvements, it may come when the new studio is ready and format evolves to viewers needs.
I wonder what the point of the laptop is - to disguise the printed script? Without being too particular, it looks messy. Perhaps Dell is paying?

Tweaks & rearranging the Bulletin is the way forward, an advantage over the competitor TVNZ1. They seem stuck in stonehenge era of where 1990s left the Newshour except for studio, music, graphics updates, TVNZ needs new ideas and fast
The virtual nature of the set is more obvious with the standing sport presentation. Probably not to the average viewer though and not the permanent set.
Looking good. However throw some shadows on the fake screens in the sport area.
Is it just me or does that Three News theme sound like it’s being played back on an old tape with lots of wow/flutter?
Doubt it. It’s just something that’s done everywhere if there’s no computer in the desk.
It’d be running inews or whatever they use because papers can become outdated in breaking news events.
Not sure what that sounds like, but they must be embracing the tape revival.
ThreeNews gets off to a good start with 340,000 tuning in the first bulletin, and 300,000 last night on average.

Viewership numbers will be higher for these shows out of curiosity. I imagine the numbers will drop back down again.
