Followed by “Why I Had To Come Back” article in TV Week…
I think it depends on execution and getting the right people to translate the vibe of the show to audio.
I would love to see Roving consider it - it’s viewership in its final years may have been lower for commercial prime time (around ~350k any night, maybe ~400k to 500k would tune in at least once a week) but I believe it was passionate and eager audience ready to have smart, informative, fun and occasionally silly discussion of the news.
If even an 1/8th of that audience (50,000) to tune in to a hypothetical podcast and become regular listeners, you’d have a decently successful podcasts.
Maybe we’ll get a revival just a-la-Neighbours style. Just don’t call it Project 2.0
Reboot ala Neighbours 2nd reboot?
Would a reboot replace what replaced it? A daytime program? A once a week show,? Online only - subscribe to RovingEnterprisea.com.au?
It won’t be anytime this year. Big Brother will take the spot
The spot currently filled by 10 News + and Deal or No Deal?
Do you have a source?
The project noodle updates in currently underserved regional markets???
Here’s the latest local news, the metro whip around (to the only pub within 492995km) 20 seconds of audio from a local artist and a 10 second debate about local resources
Think it was pretty widely rumoured that Big Brother will take the 7pm spot when it comes back.
lots of things get rumoured and anyone can spread rumours without any basis. Doesn’t mean they happen or there is any truth to it.
In case you were wondering
I have nobody to share the silly news I see from around the world with.

That, and the other things we should be discussing...

Social media admin having a field day on the socials lately
All seems a little desperado. Probably time to shut the account down.
You’re no fun.
Just keep helping me with Neighbours ploise.
Clearly they’re planning something, probably some online project with similar content on socials etc.
You have to wonder if they are keeping the socials alive for a reason.
A revival or scaled back version relaunched at some point wouldn’t surprise me but it’s really too soon to even consider that. I’m wondering if the above suggestions for a daily Project podcast could be something they go with.
Project social media page still posting Breaking News with branding.
