Exactly - and it"s far easier for those sucked in by right wing extremism to shout about such things that havenât actually changes âgoing wokeâ rather than to reflect on their own increasingly less tolerant view of the world.
I think TVHead was joking.
Joking. Trolling. Itâs impossible to tell.
A few of us have asked whatâs next for Roving Enterprises after itâs time on The ProjectâŠ
At the moment, working for the ARIA and AACTA Awards.
Well, they were already doing that, right?
I knew they were doing the ARIAâs, and have done so for a while now. I wasnât aware of the AACTA Awards though (iâm not sure though).
I guess their next point of call will be to get something commissioned at the upfronts and Iâve no doubt theyâd be keeping what would essentially be a rebranded weekly version of The Project on the table for anyone who will take it.
Iâve no idea what the Aussie podcast market is like but for me that should be an area they look to pivot towards - their expertise, talent and style of programming really lends itself to podcasting IMO and makes business sense to look towards what is still a growing industry as linear TV essentially shrinks.
It does feel weird still thatâs theyâre no The Project anymore
Before this topic gets closed, I would like to thank The Daily Mail âreporterâ who used to regularly check these pages, and make âhard hitting articlesâ, by quoting us in multiple Project articles. Made a few of us famous
With the announcement of The Project finishing up, this reporter has been quietâŠ
What a ride it has been this show
Has there been any talk about Seven or Nine buying the show? This show might still work as a 9:30pm/10:30pm, which is what Ten shouldâve done years ago.
No. Itâs dead, people. Let it go. Networks arenât investing in 9.30/10.30 anymore, and we are constantly told The Project was not cheap.
Well, well, well, look who is in charge now... It's me! The social media hero (that's what I call myself).

So, one question: what should I do with these accounts? pic.twitter.com/JpjxIrravl
The first reply I saw was:
Keep them activeâŠ
Not sure if 10 News minus is going to cut it. ![]()
Would it be a stupid idea to keep the name, social media pages and some of the staff on for essentially a Podcast version of the show?
Think of it as essentially a 30-45 minute daily informative, conversational wrap up and discussion of the headlines (Audio, potentially with a video version for YouTube/Streaming) - Drop it around 5 pm, so listeners can listen to it on the drive home from work or as they do their evening errands, maintain the vibe of the show (with room for funny banter, serious talk and maybe a guest interview or bigger story), with a main host (a Charlie Pickering or a Carrie Bickmore type - serious enough for news, can have more playful banter but keeps the show grounded) joined by rotating bunch of previous regular panellists and new panellists too (2 panelist an episode - one comedian, and a second to add to the convo) any more it probably becomes too many cooks for a podcast).
That way, Roving Enterprise can keep the brand warm in case 10 wants it to return to the Project if 10N+ fails or if another channel considers it (ABC if they want to make a play younger demo in the early evening? (surely would do better than 6 pm Antique Roadshow)), or perhaps have it evolve into something in its own right.
Bring Carrie, Waleed and Tommy or Pete doing the podcast
âThe Podcast Projectâ does have a nice ring to it
Let Spotify and Apple Podcast be the main sponsors
I would call it âThe Project Podcastâ

could be worthwhile for them to do something like this
and even moreso if they partner with either LiSTNR or iHeart
