It’s not new for journalists from other networks to host The Project. Lisa Wilkinson, Chris Bath, Ray Martin, George Negus etc.

Very awkward end to the show tonight with Pete Murray.

In the pre-performance interview he tells rove “will you let me talk mate”. Forgot the words to his own song and stopped singing, blamed rove. The hosts hesitantly walked onto the stage to start closing the show. Then Pete started singing again mid sentence leaving rove and the hosts standing there awkwardly.

I was just about to write the same thing. Very awkward ending to the show. Just shows how annoying Rove actually is. He is always talking over the other panellists, and now the guests.

Yikes. I think it’s time to get Rove on the chopping block now. He has his moment and time. Bring back Hamish on Friday nights for god sakes.

Was so awkward with the hosts standing next to him and bopping along while he finished the song!

It wasn’t that bad. If Pete let Rove finish the sign off (just played the guitar), he could have then sung them out and actually would have been good.
