The Project đŸȘŠ

Yes, I’m trying to stay open minded but so far it’s not adding up. A high end current Affairs show put into the 6-7pm slot
 I can’t see working.

But who knows :man_shrugging:

They haven’t said the show Denham/Amelia and co are working on is a nightly show.

It could very well be a weekly show for them and then The Project replacement is an entirely different show we know nothing about.

Let’s be honest here. We actually don’t know anything really.

The Project will celebrate its 16th birthday on July 20.

I wonder if the new weekly show will start before that date?

Are you trying to spoil their birthday?

The TV Blackbox article did say the show “is quietly being prepared for a July or August launch”, so anything is possible.

If that’s true though.

TV Blackbox understands the new show is being shaped to only air four nights a week — Monday to Thursday — with an insider confirming the proposed schedule to this website,

The same unnamed insiders that are used for trashy magazines and The Daily Mail?

But realistically though, would the new Monday to Thursday show be live, or a bunch of stories shown instead? A July or August start might be too soon, if only “announced” today?

The Friday Project with Rove could stay. As too The Sunday Project at 6pm?

What an awful outcome.

No. No more Project. The brand is dead. It needs to go completely.

Could explain the timeline for the new show being prepared and contracts expiring, the date and not necessarily the 16th birthday.

Move the project gang on daytime. Breakfast TV

Hell no! if they tried to do another breakfast show to rival 7 and 9 I would say Sarah would be perfect but Waleed is a doctor he wont be hit hard. I’m sure Georgie will turn up on another show and Sam will no doubt be on Taskmaster or another reality TV show.

I would say if Today could poach Sarah but then it would be weird Karl, Sarah and Sarah lol

Huh?

I think we have a pretty good track record when it comes to this stuff.

And, no, once The Project goes it all goes - no Friday or Sunday Project

probably could save a few fees paid to Rove’s company if they take it all in house again.

My comment was in somewhat of a jest, but thank your for the response.

I appreciate the clarification re the Friday and Sunday Project too. Does clear it up.

If it’s not sustainable in prime time it’s not sustainable for daytime.

The Project just isn’t appealing amongst my friends or myself! It should be a 6-7 panel show that is topical with all opinions / or opinion free segments.

Maybe the Project can be Friday and Saturdays, they do need content for Saturday nights
 6:30 - 7:30pm.

Will be interesting to see what Fri-Sun is replaced with. Wonder if they’ll venture into more straight news in the timeslot (repackaged regional news in some new markets to make up increased quota perhaps - but unlikely)?

On the one hand it’s more investment in their core news division which is good but on the other hand another news budget cut in some ways, cheaper content overall.
