Would love to see this set up for Ten News.
Studio audience too?
Good point of difference
Incorporate some live music acts too
Get the full CNNNN news band.
They pre-record most of their interviews anyway, so it’s certainly possible
Good idea. Lighter and more comedic though would be my approach, while also delivering news.
Looks good.
The upside of them being in Sydney is that it’s in native HD, the downside is that the backgrounds look so washed out compared to when they’re in Melbourne in the tighter shots.
If they did that, may be they could wind it down a little on Friday with maybe a comedian such as Dave Hughes taking centre stage and commentating about the week that was
and Richard Mercer could come on and play love song dedications.
Great ideas in here! Ten should put the show in a later timeslot with even less viewers than it has from 6:30-7:30pm now so we could all just not watch it, like the majority of Australians do every Sun - Fri nights.
I think we could all agree that a late night news bulletin of some sort or light entertainment chat show specially developed for a later timeslot would be great - but very unlikely in the current TV climate so The Project moving to a later timeslot is likely never going to happen either.
Moving on…
And Karen Moregold could do “your day by the stars” - under the light of the moon…
I think you are suggesting the ridiculous
The comedy idea comes from the channel 7 based State Affair screening a rubbery figures news analysis called “Friday Night News Review with Brian Hambone” back in the 1980s
a weekly news based comedy summary could either be introduced to the existing Friday show be it at 6:30pm or 9:30pm or even midnight (unless they did a The Project meets Media Watch on Saturday night at 6:30pm and maybe call it The Weekly Project)
Much like Ten is not going to spend too much money on a breakfast show that might now work. At present, the best that will happen is probably a 7am til 8am news service
Can incorporate a brussel sprout throwing contest?
Maybe as part of a re-boot of Double Dare… otherwise someone might take their bat and ball and go home (or Ita’s case, quit)
The audience could all bring their toothbrushes too.
You’re assuming too much.
So they’re definitely planning to put Lisa and Hamish on at breakfast, right?
Some elements, such as the live performances, and the standing closer should be incorporated permanently into the show (maybe the Friday show).
