Chris Bendall will become the Executive Producer of the Project.
Craig Campbell will now move to a new role, Head of Television at Roving Enterprises
Explains some of the problems…
what problems?
Friday 23 April-
PVO is hosting with Jan Fran, Nazeem Hussain and Michael Hing tonight.
EDIT-
Michael Hing making his debut at The Project desk tonight.
Well they are ticking all the diversity boxes tonight!
Also another person from the Feed. Did a producer leave that show and join the Project?
Such a strange lineup.
If the new EP is a fan of having randoms on the show on Fridays and Sundays then that would explain why the lineups have been the way it has been the last few weeks.
At least Fran doesn’t look like she’s going to an 80s prom or the met gala tonight.
Have you reached your quota of insults yet?
Sorry I forgot you were her #1 fan
Absolute cringe fest tonight.
Dreadful
It’s been somewhat amusing seeing people here before crying out for The Project to try out some new panelists and then complain/criticize endlessly when the show does exactly that
They’ve just raided The Feed for new hosts, it’s hardly original.I just wish they’d ditch the lame attempts at humour and go harder journalistically, the mix has never worked properly. The shuffling of the decks, inconsistent hosts (Carrie especially) just makes it messy.
Important distinction- have fresh guests in the fourth seat (like Michael tonight) but the hosts and the B Team need to be consistent.
Carrie and Waleed are the only consistent hosts. The others just host when they want too.
cast member?
Pete Hilliar is too unless he is filming his TV series. Lisa is consistent when she’s not on holidays. PVO had been until whatever happened a few weeks ago.
I think tonight it seemed like a bit too much of a change because Jan Fran has only just become a regular, while Nazeem and Michael are newbies. I didn’t think it was too bad but agree it would have been smoother if they brought in the newbies on a different night when there were more regulars.
I’ve never understood why people want this. We have enough boring news shows on TV, and especially on ABC. The ‘humour’ is what separates this show although I’ll admit it’s hardly ever all that funny
