The Project

No, the show is pre-recorded.

I guessed correctly. Joel Creasey is doing The Sunday Project and this week has joined Lisa on the desk in Sydney.

He came up for Kate, Tim and Joel on Nova on Wednesday and did say on the radio he is in Sydney indefinitely. Would suit him being in Sydney for The Project on Sundays too.

I thought the Lisa, Waleed, Joel, Rachel combo tonight was noticeably better than the usual Sunday line up.

Some good packages too tonight.

Rachel was less annoying than usual. :stuck_out_tongue:

Surprised they never use Rove to host Sundays as he’s in Sydney.

I’ve never really thought PVO was right for this show, and is a little wasted given he specialises in politics and interviews.

Give him another platform in the political space like Meet The Press or a Sat night 30 min current affairs show, and get other fill-in’s like Rove, Chris Brown, Andrew Rochford etc.

It’s really shown how much of an asset Hamish was.

Also, does anyone else think the “Sunday” in the title is redundant? The show is no longer different to Fridays.

i agree. Not sure why they have to add the “Sunday” to it also - as its certainly no different to the Friday edition.

PVO was wasted on the Project. More suited to a proper current-affairs type show, which sadly, Ten hasnt had in a while. Bring back Meet The Press or a similar type show for the weekend mornings.

I have not watched this for a long time however is it just me or is many chunks throughout the hour pre recorded? Some replies to interviews are almost instantly. It didn’t seem any crosses are live at all.

Most of the interviews have been prerecorded for quite a while

They seem to finish the show with an interview so it seems before the ad break is when they sign off. Does not appear to be too much Live.

I assume they don’t want awkward or interviews going off script. Whether or not that’s because they have a specific agenda to push who knows but I sort of feel it.

The last segment is usually live as proven by the Christine Anu one a while ago, where she dropped the f-bomb and they couldn’t censor it.

It’s so they don’t run into overtime.

Yes they do seem very cautious of time throughout

A lot of the pre-recorded interviews have been with people overseas. Time difference. Fair enough to pre-record. Pre-covid they would have been in studio.

A lot of it is prerecorded and was pre Covid as well. On one occasion when we were in the audience, at least 70% was prerecorded.

Interesting that News Corp calls it a “rant” when he couldn’t have been more calm and collected about his surprising comments. When the right wing commentators start making thoughtful and logical commentd like these, you can feel that there is a shift in the conversation.

It’s a rant for them because his opinion doesn’t align with theirs. They love to eat their own.

Interesting thanks certainly does come across that way on screen for us eagle eyed people…

Audience must be pretty boring then.

I’ve been a couple of the times. It is usually a lot of fun and interesting but the last time was a bit boring due to the amount of prerecorded content.
