He’s a dick for sure but he’s also a (not-so?) closet TV nerd. I think he’d fit in pretty well on here (he probably does post here tbh).

Sam Taunton wore a suit and tie tonight, joking that he was going for a job interview at Sky News. He used the term “Go woke, go broke” as an example of what he would say in the interview.

As for the video - you can just tell he was going to gloat like you wouldn’t believe.
I’m not the biggest fan of the Project but I wasn’t going to sit through that. Now, if it was The OG Crew doing it…I would’ve sat through it.

With some emerging gaps in their schedules, both ABC and Ten should consider commissioning Working Dog to pilot some new formats. In a changing media landscape where audiences are shifting to streaming, their work continues to be of a high quality and rate well. Perhaps a show that analyses topics and issues slightly more in depth (such as done by The Project and Q +A) but with a bit more humour and lightness.
And you should win things by watching

Carrie and Tommy said about rumours circulating for years about it getting the axe. Im wondering if this is part of why they left

I think pretty much any new show is rumoured for the axe from before they even start, as we’re seeing with it’s replacement. IIRC The 7pm Project had a rather shaky start.

Im not thinking the axe, more developing it into 2 separate shows possibly as early as December. I wonder if 10 might do a fresh late news recording for WA and screen it at say 1am in the eastern states (i know it wont count as content but would give people the feeling 10 us serious about news
Now they are finishing up I know there was some social posts from the show about wanting to bring back the OG theme song for the show. Would be pretty cool if they could. Some of the older intros were better than the existing too.

There’s something very off-putting about his commentary on Aly and how “he was judge and jury about how WE should all be thinking”.
I mean, bad enough he whines and goes on about “woke” this and “woke” that. Has Rob always been this bad, or is it just an attempt to fit in at Seven West, or does he want a show on Sky?
