They sent her to Tokyo last week
A promo during the news for Today claims they have Tom with Dickie on tomorrow’s show.
Another HUGE week of guests are dropping by #TheProjectTV this week, including one VERY familiar face of the show…
First time in 3 years since she left The Project. Welcome back Carrie Bickmore, even if only for one night.
What I love about these is that they are on air six nights a week, but their “huge week of guests”is only four people and two of them are on the same night.
Carrie on tonight’s show
Carrie Bickmore is back on The Project to reveal her new Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, after raising a whopping $24 million in ten years.

Very nice of Sarah asking Bickmore to do the closer and actually sat on her original seat
Her reaction to “stick around for Masterchef” in the autocue was funny, something like “wow nothing’s changed”
TONIGHT: We chat to Aussie twin filmmakers Danny and Michael Philippou, and U2 legend Bono in an Australian exclusive!

According to The Australian’s Media Diary, The Project is officially under review by Ten to assess whether there is any life left in the show.
Oh no. The last remaining Ten show in the evening. I hope it doesn’t get axed just like Studio 10
Newscorp titles have been speculating about the show’s future for years. 2025 is no different.
There are three things certain in life:
Death, Taxes and newscorp speculating about The Project
With no live programming in the morning hours and very little news hours, the project is the only daily show that talks to 10s brand and gives its some sort of promotional platform for the network and for its shows. Yes it’s a shadow of its former self but axing it is not the answer given nothing else would rate in that slot.
A full relaunch might work: new set, graphics, format and promotions but that does cost money.
100% agree with this
If Ten axes the Project what would they air instead is the question?
Plenty of options, all just speculation. They’ll be looking hard at this now.
Extend 5pm news to 90 mins again, move DOND to 6:30, start evening lineup at 7pm?
Extend DOND to one hour from 6pm and start entertainment at 7pm?
Launch another game show at 6:30pm following DOND, and start entertainment lineup from 7pm?
It would be a shame if they axed the project
