The Project (2020-Feb 2025)

@nationalnews It was mentioned at the start of the show that she had been working on the new show (Making It Australia)for 10 and other things…stage show in Adelaide recently.
I’ve differently missed her appearances on the show, she has such a likeable personality.

Not a very smooth show tonight. A lot of awkward pauses. They did mention something about technical issues which caused them to go to an abrupt ad break. But I think Nazeem was dealing with some sort of delay with the link which might have been the cause of the awkwardness.

I would happily swap Jan for Susie.

Jan is plain annoying.

Yeah she leaves a bit to be desired in a presenting role, much better at reporting/interviews.

Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the show at all tonight. I think The Project really thrives when there are panelists with different points of view and opinions but tonight it really did feel like an echo chamber. I didn’t get to see the first half of the show but the 7-7.30 half hour was quite boring (I thought) because there was no stimulating debate at all.

Even when they interviewed the family that was let out of quarantine early to see their father in hospital (quite a polarising issue, at least in my area), not one of them played devils advocate, which I’m sure Waleed or Steve Price would have done even if they didn’t agree with that perspective.

Must the Australian always report events with a bizarre ideological bent. Clearly trying to dogwhistle to it’s awful readers.

Can’t see the article, but what’s the general gist?

Wilkinson is locked in to front Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Would like to see her front other projects with the network in future. I know that she also voices Ambulance Australia and the special they’re airing this week but for one of their highest (if not the highest) paid talent they don’t nearly champion her interviewing skills and talent enough IMO.

Shame that Gorgi won’t be on the show permanently but at least it gives the show some consistency presenter-wise.

Now if they can stop getting Jan Fran to host the show and have PVO to commit to Fridays and Sundays.

Sunday 27 June-

Chris Brown is hosting with Lisa tonight.

@Tom_TV7 Jan Fran isn’t on tonight’s show!:clap:

Bravo. Always thought she looked out of place as host but she’s a decent panelist.

Agreed! she is also fine filing reports for the show but l can’t stand her in the hosting chair.

Was more slanted to this thing about “issues to do wirh women” which will cue the outrage from right wingers trying to cancel her on ideological grounds. These Australian reporters are disingenuous fools.

Wonder whether ABC will only allow Hamish to appear as a guest and not in the hosts position, I know he’s fronting Q&A but he’s much better at hosting than Chris.

PVO is in Canberra still. Locked in there for the upcoming sitting week. He didn’t return to Sydney for Friday’s show. He filed a report tonight on the news.

What sitting week? It’s winter break.
