The Project (2015-Sept 2020)

Explain to me how I’m getting worked up?

It’s an overreaction to what really is a ‘trivial’ thing at best

We clearly have different understandings of “worked up” and “overreaction”.

I made a one sentence comment. Hardly any of those things.

This “gag” (and I use the term very loosely) was funny the first time, maybe second but doing it every single week is no longer funny, cute, hilarious or entertaining.

My opinion.

End. Of. Story.

I hate when comedians do that

I think he’s being over used at the moment.

He’s s good talent, him and Hamish work well together.

Morrison should have reinstated the Knighthoods and made Bickmore a Dame. She deserves one.

His Partner actually appeared on the desk a few weeks ago, as the audience member who did the ad break “coming up” segment. He made a joke and pretneding to try and kiss Tommy.

Network 10 Congratulates Carrie Bickmore OAM.

The Project Host Recognised In Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Network 10 congratulates The Project host Carrie Bickmore, who has been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (General Division) for her services to the broadcast media, and to brain cancer awareness.

Recognised in the Queen’s Birthday 2019 Honours list, Carrie’s award is in honour of her services to the broadcast media with a television and radio career that has spanned 18 years and for the important role she has played to raise awareness for brain cancer.

Carrie has been co-hosting The Project since it first began in 2009 and is celebrating its 10th anniversary next month. One of Australia’s most popular broadcasters, Carrie has received a TV Week Logie Award for Best New Talent in May 2010. In 2015, Carrie was honoured to receive the Silver Logie for Best Presenter and was also awarded the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on television.

Carrie used this opportunity to raise awareness for brain cancer, encouraging everyone to get involved and wear a beanie for brain cancer. The response was overwhelming and Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer was born. Since 2015, the charity has gone on to raise awareness and over $11 million for brain cancer research through its beanie sales and the Brain Beats concert.

Carrie is also an ambassador for Royal Melbourne Hospital Neuroscience Foundation.

On being awarded the honour Carrie said: "I am so honoured to have been awarded an Order of Australia. Having seen the inspiring Australians who have also received awards, I feel so humbled to be in their company. When I started my foundation I simply wanted to raise awareness about brain cancer and the devastating impact it was having on families all around our great country.

“Now four years on thanks to the generosity of Australians we have raised nearly $11.5 million. Seeing the work that is being done with the money we have granted is so encouraging and the scientists and researchers who have been advocating in this space for many years are the ones who deserve recognition. I feel so incredibly lucky to have been born in a country like Australia and am a proud recipient of this award,” she said.

Sure does. Natarsha Belling is the best fill-in I think as she doesn’t do any silly stuff.
