I would be very surprised if they’re ever axed TMS, since it’s a constant timeslot winner.

Surely they would make more money of The Morning Show’s advertorials than they would from an extra hour of Sunrise.

As for The Daily Edition… well that’s another story.

I can see Studio 10 going towards the end of the year though.

Even with this the case, the advertisers are more likely to pay The Morning Show for the slots than the other shows because of TMS’s ratings dominance and greater reach. Whilst the others are on air, so will TMS.

I’d much sooner believe that The Daily Edition is on the chopping block before The Morning Show. Besides, don’t Kylie & Larry usually slay their rivals in the ratings?

I agree, probably the biggest waste of an hour on TV. There isn’t many advertorials so i’d assume they aren’t getting much money from it and when you hypothetically compare it to the presenters pay checks they are getting paid really for nothing.

With Ryan Phelan set to leave the Seven Network upon the axing of The Daily Edition next Friday, I reckon Angela Cox should be brought in to present the news updates.

Ann Sanders previously did this between 2007-15, but relinquished the post after assuming the hosting duties on the Afternoon News (and the since-localized Sydney edition) in 2015.

@MasterMind5991 l agree Angela would be a good choice to replace Ryan,but as she does other fill in roles for the network having her tied into morning’s from Monday to Friday might not work out.
Maybe they will have Kylie just read the news updates.
