The Masked Singer

Currently both productions are on hold.
They might be able to proceed at Fox Studios, but I’m thinking the set might have already moved to Melbourne.

A lot of angry people in the comments.

It’s def in Melbourne as they are crewing for it.

Dannii Minogue has not been given special treatment by avoiding hotel quarantine in Queensland, the state’s chief health officer says.

Queensland chief health officer Jeannette Young says Minogue was exempt from hotel quarantine because of a COVID-safe plan approved for her industry, with her quarantine at home being managed by an independent third party.

“There are a large number of different groups which have exemptions to hotel quarantine, for instance consular officials, ADF personnel, people who work in the oil and gas industry who meet certain requirements, maritime workers, flight crew, people who work in specific film and entertainment industry, elite sporting groups,” Young said on Tuesday.

There have been a lot who have arrived in the entertainment industry, gearing up for movies restarting production in Australia. They’ve kept a low profile and none have made the news.

She only made the news because she is about to be on the biggest show in Australia. Channel 7 broke the news probably trying to harm the brand a little.

Exactly what I thought. 7 trying to make a fuss over a Ten show talent.

Seven also forgot Dannii was involved on three of its shows before - The X Factor, Australia’s Got Talent, and Dance Boss.

They don’t care about that because she isn’t with them at the moment.

A deliberate attempt by Seven to try to damage a rival’s product.

Seems to have backfired - as their story changed. Last night Seven originally tweeted that the exemption was because of medical reasons.

" reportedly given the exemption following a medical certificate provided by her doctor."

I think everyone would want to forget any involvement in Dance Boss.

I assume she is in QLD due to the flight restrictions in VIC/NSW but Village Roadshow Studios are available for The Masked Singer at the moment there is capacity there.

I guess Channel 10 will be thanking them now for all the free publicity on 7 and every other media outlet.

Lots of sour grapes from Seven but what else would we expect from a network who’s been dwindling in relevance in recent years and is completely incompetent at getting big international formats like The Masked Singer and keeping their best talents like Dannii Minogue.

How quickly did they turn this show around last time? I imagine they are gonna film all the show in a few days for people’s availability and secrecy but with no audience who votes? I cant remember if we voted at home at all too?

There was no home voting last season.

The voting was only a small part of it.

Dr Young said she had issued 38 similar exemptions to date.

“They need to then quarantine in another place that I’m satisfied adheres to the same requirements,” she said.

She will not be allowed any visitors to the home and she and her son are not allowed to the leave.

The 48-year-old is said to be back in Australia to film a reality television show.

Good opportunity for The Project to do a live cross to her lockdown home!

I’m dumbfounded by the discussion about Seven’s so-called motives for reporting the Dannii Minogue hotel quarantine story. Being a public figure, Minogue getting an exemption from the usual hotel quarantine procedure was always going to be reported on by whichever outlet found out about it first - even though everything is above board. To suggest the only reason why Seven reported on it is to somehow ‘damage’ The Masked Singer is a bit far-fetched in this case

I think it’s a bit naive to suggest it isn’t part of a plan to damage a rival networks reputation. Apparently there have been other film stars that have come in with the same exemptions but it hasn’t been reported by 7.
