The ‘live’ feel of the show is gone?
Isn’t that the point though? They don’t have a studio Audience now?
It’s filmed in daylight hours now, right? I think I saw that from some of the teases they posteD online.
Amanda mentioned they’ve been filming for the last month to 6 weeks, so they must be preparing shows fairly ahead of their tv broadcast.
Makes you wonder whey they couldn’t get this to air a little earlier?
From the short bit I’ve watched it’s definitely inspired by Queer Eye a bit. It looks ‘less cheap’ than the WTFN version did.
What a great show so far, 10 has a neat little production here. I’ll be a regular watcher
The changes are fine and it’s great that the chemistry is still evident. But, I liked the studio part of the show, as it was a point of difference. The format is a bit like Better Homes, Selling Houses, Changing Rooms etc. Not my style of show but I think there might still be an audience.
Oh yeh that makes some sense.
I guess I was meaning couldn’t Amanda have said welcome to the show via a piece to camera? Just felt odd that it was more ‘fly on the wall’ from our POV.
It’s like Queer Eye mixed with Whose Line during the Guess that Gadget segment.
It’s good and I think it’ll do fine. The old version was fine too, but it’s not a step down.
Really enjoyed it, got a lot of laughs. 10 is making good content at the moment.
Even more impressive that it’s produced in-house too.
I love the psuedo film effect that they have gone with.
Tonight’s season premiere was quite good. It’s more casual and fly on the wall than Better Homes and Gardens. The quartet still maintained their chemistry despite the lack of studio audience.
Scenes in the last segment were filmed at night.
10 tweeted this morning (it includes national ratings, so I won’t link it) that the show had its highest launch episode since 2016 last night and was up 14% on last years launch.
I just saw that too. Missed the launch last night. Sounds like it was a good show.
I didn’t see it.
There are a lot of negative comments on Facebook, with far less positive comments. The ratings might fall next week.
I didn’t love it. Lacked… something.
The live audience gave the show something, but I love how the show now speaks “home” on so many volumes.
1970s Channel Ten ident played between the end of The Project and the start of tonight’s Living Room. There was also a bunch of 70s ads for Kodak, BankCard etc, during the show and it was a 70s theme tonight.
