Get ready to kick back for some laughs as the comedic masterminds and pranksters behind The Inspired Unemployed, Jack Steele and Matt Ford (AKA Falcon)take on a brand-new venture with the launch of the Paramount+ and Network 10 Australian original series The List, landing in 2025.
Produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia, this six-part series will see the boys set out on an unforgettable adventure travelling across six countries with one mission – to complete ‘The List’. Unfortunately, their dream bucket list of things they want to do is replaced by a nightmare list of things they have to do.
From entering a rap battle competition in Soweto, to becoming Mermen in Malaysia, training with Japanese mountain monks to stalking, (or being stalked!) by bears in Finland, they will endure excruciating native medical treatments, learn obscure martial arts, and perform to huge local crowds against their will. Jack and Falcon will be pushed physically and emotionally out of their comfort zones in their quest to fulfill ‘ The List’, all for our amusement.
Jack and Falcon jointly said: “We are pumped to be putting our heads and bodies on the line filming The List for Paramount+ and Network 10, it’s going to be a wild ride!”
C21 reports The List will be one of Warner Bros International Television Production’s slate of programs on offer at MIPCOM in Cannes next week. Each episode will run for one hour.
Promo just aired. Coming to 10 weekly from May 1. All episodes on P+ from that date.

Synopsis for episode 1
Best mates Jack and Falcon take on The List, a collection of travel experiences most people avoid. In Germany, the boys embrace naturism and get their shuttlecocks out for naked badminton.
Interestingly, the show is shown as The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers in online guides of both 10 and Nine (YourTV).
I quite like The Inspired Unemployed Impractical Jokers and get a few laughs out of it, but this show was a bit underwhelming in comparison. On paper the travel concept had potential and a couple of the things they did were entertaining… although then some things felt overly cheesy with them playing up/acting a bit, especially the medieval fighting and haunted house bits. It made the episode drag. I think it would have worked better as a tighter 30-minute show, focusing on 3–4 activities instead of stretching to 5.
Given how it rated, I think most people would agree - I can’t see it lasting long in that slot, or 10 will switch Tasmaster/The List timeslots around.
I like the idea behind the show, but probably would’ve found another duo to front it, given they’re going to front another series of Impractical Jokers this year, which hasn’t really set the ratings on fire.
Zero surprise here.
Aaaand it’s at 8.30 now
I was thinking about a possible duo that could’ve fronted this show instead, and was thinking, maybe Carrie & Tommy?
Could’ve tied in nicely with their radio show and had some good cross-promotion, Carrie’s got a decent profile and very familiar to 10’s audience, as does Tommy.
Both are funny with good energy with the right demos for what 10 should’ve been chasing with a show like this. Thoughts?
(ChatGPT didn’t do an amazing job here, obviously lol)
Nah they’re too rich for it to work, you need to have an image like H+A
Like wealth? I don’t see it personally, certainly not Tommy - at least they don’t present that way IMO.
I think they have the right likability and salability for a show like this, they’d give it all a go, there would be drama and funny moments, and they’re an established duo.
Any suggestions on who would work? Cause obviously Jack and Falcon don’t have the right sort of pulling power for the show.
This should have always been post-8.30pm. Fits much better in a later slot.
I think the show was kind of created for them though. They are pranksters and it was a bit of an extension of that. I think the guys are perfectly fine, it’s not meant to have large budget talent and is more for Paramount +. Just generally the show and concept could have been executed better. I also think that maybe they could have cycled some of the other Uninspired boys in there some episodes (to mix it up a bit week to week) rather than see the same guys each week.
Matt Ford has written an article in Sunday Life magazine in Sunday Age and The Sun-Herald today, offering advice on travelling with your best friend, based on the experience of his overseas adventures with Jack Steele.
Damn that article must have been heavily edited
