“The Daily” - basically already there with News @ Noon
“The Nightly” - i don’t see them cutting back the local news hour for a national half hour again. The strategy is to produce stories from the ‘national news desk’ to slot into local bulletins.
“The Late Edition” - we had it, they’re axing it. Although i feel like there’s a way to bring The Nightly brand to TV. Could that be the panel style show being touted? I don’t know. But unless they’re moving Katrina Blowers to either Sydney or Perth, the only way to produce that show would be Piers Morgan Uncensored style (aesthetic, not content).
I am a real person. I have Cerebral Palsy and AI helps me to get my ideas across and it helps me as typing can be tough due to my fine motor skills not being like others.
My ideas are my own, this technology just helps me a bit.

IMO the original product was some of the best done in an otherwise standard Australian TV news bulletin
the lack of a consistent timeslot couldn’t have helped but it is a real shame

About to head into a busy news period with the federal election and 7 still hasn’t announced the replacement for The Latest. They need to hurry up or once again they’ll miss the boat.

TBH i doubt that “replacement” was a real thing.
No disrespect to Karina but nobody outside of Queensland knows who she is… Well speaking for myself their but i didn’t know who that was until she replaced the former 4pm presenter. And i’m pretty good with presenters in other states.
IMO i think it was just a random rumour.

Katrina, not Karina.
She probably has a little bit of a profile in Sydney. She was part of Merrick & Russo for a long time on Nova… and then even was cohost of Nine’s national ‘This Afternoon’ program.
Not saying the general public would know her… but if you’re ‘pretty good with interstate presenters’ as you claim to be, then Katrina is one you would know.
