Looks like the show has its biggest live audience in history: 350 fans (according to Andy Maher) inside Magarey Room at the Adelaide Oval.
Missed opportunity to not have Adelaide city (which is beautiful from that room overlooking the Torrens) as the backdrop. Donât even need a screen to show itâs LIVE!
I thought the set looked a bit cheap, but I guess it will only ever be used once
I reckon the crowd was more a focus than the set
Probably to try and hide the set as much as possible!
Iâm lucky enough to be in there tonight, what a great vibe! I do agree that it wouldâve been nice to show off the Torrensâ and CBD however.
Yet to watch it on 7+ but the lighting looks shocking. How did that ever get to air?
Recall the project once used a nice glass room type thing at Adelaide oval with a nice view over the river and city. Should have gone for that.
They changed the lighting set-up mid show last night, I mean during live programming they were changing the lighting positions.
Thatâs the room theyâre in - the set is blocking the view although I canât remember if The Project did their broadcast in daylight savings - might be harder to capture a night view from that room.
Great to see Tony âGodraâ again. What a player.
Santo Cilauro filling in for Sam Pang this week.
My favourite moment last night was Mick and Andy saying Sam was wearing a diarrhoea brown shirt. I answered on the Instagram polls that Sam was wearing a terracotta and clay shirt.
Santo Cilauro filling in for Mick Molloy (who is on holidays) this week. Special guest is Peter âCrackersâ Keenan.
Unpopular opinion but itâs a better show without Mick, exact opposite can be said when Sam isnât there.
And thatâs that. It finished on time ![]()
Why do they put the hosts in daggy check shirts every week on this show? Quite unflattering on guys with dad bods. The wardrobe needs a serious update on this show.
Hard disagree. Iâm not a footy fan, but I watch The Front Bar because I like Mick and Sam. I love Mickâs Multi and I wish Sam did the multi when Mickâs absent and shows off a clip and says âIâd like to wager.â
Last nightâs episode was more funnier than the 29th of June.
I think thatâs the whole point. The premise is people at the pub talking footy.
Each to their own, but iâve always felt that Mick ruins the pacing of the show, wether itâs interrupting the others/guests or trying to throw in one last joke, it throws off the conversation and I canât stand that. If he spoke less and the show moved freely, itâd be far more enjoyable to watch. I canât really remember him doing this on Before The Game but I wouldâve been too young to notice, but itâs majorly evident on TFB.
Also he uses the same 4 jokes every week, Iâm so sick of hearing âHello girls, dinnerâs onâ
