Today’s episode began with a tribute to producer Terry Digby, who passed away at the weekend. He was involved in Seven’s VFL/AFL coverage including the first televised game in colour in the 1970s, World of Sport and Talking Footy, and Nine’s sporting broadcasts and Sunday Footy Show from 2002 onwards.

The Gather Round Spectacular is back for the third year. It will take place at d’Arenberg Cube at McLaren Vale, south of Adelaide, next Tuesday (April 7). Tickets are now on sale at Eventbrite website.

No — The Footy Show originally aired on Thursdays, but shifted to Wednesdays once Thursday Night Football was introduced.
The My Room Telethon specials now take place on the Friday of Grand Final week, effectively replacing the former Thursday Grand Final edition of The Footy Show.
The Gather Round Spectacular was aired on Wednesday night, when Footy Classified moved into The Footy Show’s old timeslot replacing it in the slot— just as it did again last night.
