will anyone be showing a direct feed from the BBC - No adverts, no australian talking heads, just the complete BBC coverage, or do i need to fire up the VPN?
You could try UK TV and BBC World.
Britbox is I think.
looking at BBC world news presenters that will be my pick - Kirsty Young, Claire Balding, but as soon as i saw Huw Edwards it was a no brainer for me
This will rate worse for Ten than their normal Saturday lineup. A complete waste of time and money.
It appears that, across the Tasman, the BBC feed is covered by the ABC and the three commercial networks (Seven, Nine and 10) while the Sky News UK feed is covered by Sky News Australia.
Back in NZ, both TVNZ 1 and BBC UKTV (on Sky channel 7) carry the BBC feed and Three carries the ITV feed as ITV is Three/Newshubâs affiliate.
Interesting indeed!
Probably with ITV Coverage
Channels 4 and 5 have not got their News Service, having to Rely on ITN for their Stories.
This promo feels off, it should be under the news branding IMO given itâs a special presentation and the voiceover and opening invitation graphic seems gimmicky for the occasion.
Theyâre promoting it nonetheless, so thatâs a start.
The ABC will bring Australians full coverage of this Saturdayâs Coronation of King Charles III across its television and digital radio platforms and to audiences across the Asia Pacific via ABC Australia and Radio Australia.

Thatâs a shocking photo/graphic.
The Guardian Australiaâs Amanda Meade writes in her weekly column today that Australian Monarchist League national chairman Philip Benwell says the panel is âblatantly stackedâ with republicans, and has called on ABC managing director David Anderson to intervene.
Meade writes in the same column that The Australian will publish a 16-page special this Sunday to cover the Coronation. It will be the first time in 50 years that the paper will come out on Sunday.
Iâm gobsmacked. 10Peach finally has new content! Cracks open the champagne bottles. lol.
Itâs good that the coverage continues, when the News is on. Itâs certainly suited to 10Peach rather than 10Bold and 10Shake.
More on News Corpâs Coronation coverage
I wonder if Seven Melbourne and/or Nine Sydney will leave the AFL and NRL early respectively, if they are one sided/blow outs early, switching to the Coronation coverage? I doubt the contracts prohibit 100%, certainly the AFL as weâve seen during Olympics/Comm Games and other royal events, this is the risk theyâre running tomorrow night, vital markets and audience and shares would therefore bleed.
I think neither has budged as theyâre looking at each other âtheyâre doing it, letâs do it too thenâ. Iâm still really surprised, Seven have sort of back-tracked by moving 7-7:30pm (first bounce also now pushed back by the AFL) to 7mate and airing the initial royal coverage, seems a little silly and should just stick with it, weâve still seen high AFL audiences on 7mate in Melbourne previously, such as the Anzac Eve game when MKR was prioritised and the former would still do 200-300k and even beat the main channel.
Nine definitely capitalising in Melbourne, where GTV-9 has been under the pump the past year or so, with royal specials throughout tonight (Friday) on the main channel.
