The Cheap Seats

What’s the go with having people from other networks on the show? May as well just get Ray Dinneen and Paul Lobb next…

Ten doesn’t have enough talent to cross promote?

I applaud 10 for giving them the creative freedom to welcome other networks talent, makes for a better product all round.

Getting paid to be on the show helps.

Surely Ten would be looking down on promoting other networks talent, even if its a regional news presenter…

Tom Walker appeared on the show on the same day the winner of The Great Australian Bake Off was crowned.

Going to the World Tour show tonight.

Looking forward to it!

Was a great night.

Guests were Ray O’Leary and Marianne and Brodie from What’s On In The Warehourse. Was a full house.

Few interesting things that were shared:

  • Mel Tracina was not in the first pilot taped (which she claimed she didn’t know until Mel and Tim mentioned it). It wasn’t until Working Dog went to Tim that they think the show needs an entertainment reporter. He suggested Mel, who he went to uni with.
  • The first pilot was shot in April 2021, the week after Prince Philip died (was specifically mentioned), three months before the show premiered.
  • Tim’s mother is not an alcoholic, and is a primary school teacher.

Enjoyed being able to attend an event which was put on for the great cause of raising funds for 10. Being able to sponsor a an ex Project presenter was an added bonus.

(For those who didn’t attend, the above references were among the gags Mel & Tim made at the start of the show.)

Aussie Comedy Icon @Rove joins us, and we chat to father-daugher motorsport dynasty in the making,
@MarcosAmbrose and Tabitha Ambrose!

I hope they ask him who’s running The Project’s socials and are they getting paid for it?
