I don’t imagine we’d see Winter Olympics on the main channel until after MAFS ends at 8.40 or whenever it finishes on any given night.

This sounds pretty good actually. Race Around the World has been massive for BBC1. Trying something similar as a twist on an existing, popular format might work well.

Not really nail biting when you’ve spoiled in the promos who has won. The updated graphics look a bit cheap too.

Well this will be revealed at 5pm today with the new episodes.

Did they do a graphics refresh.. or did they just add gloss for the promo?

That’s The Real Question..

Spoilers: It was a “couples” episode. The contestants included Darren, Alex and Katie. They scored 19 steps naturally, for $36,000. But they sacrificed $9,000 to gain 1 extra step.

The first week of The Chase back with new episodes a week ago averaged 689,000 which was similar to the same week of 2025 that had 689,000.

However, this past week showed a big improvement averaging just over 700,000 compared to 615,000 last year.

No matter how many years it’s been on our screen, how tired/stale it might sometimes appear now and Emdur perhaps not being that much better than when AOK lead the show, I still often find myself tuning-in to the final Chase, still some of the best few minutes of TV IMO, especially when Anne and Brydon are on :raising_hands:

Still wish they wouldn’t begin new episodes until after the tennis though.

I do wonder what the audiences in Sydney and Melbourne actually were at 5 / 5:30pm the last couple of weeks vs Channel 9, which is hard to compare given the daytime Aus Open sessions stretch from 11am - 6pm!

But most of the day tennis was well up YoY and some actually had high averages (mid-'000s) such as de Minaur D2 and 2nd week. And Seven News Sydney and Melbourne still lost just about every day and most days soundly too, Melbourne’s particularly wide.

I’d suggest the usual Adelaide, Perth and regional gave Chase a bump.

The last 30mins with the old ratings always showed people tune it to watch the ending portion.

Cricket legends face their toughest opponent yet

The pitch is set for a blockbuster showdown as four cricket greats step up to the crease in a high-stakes, prime-time cricket special of The Chase Australia, airing Tuesday, 17 February, at 7.30pm on Seven and 7plus.

Sydney Thunder General Manager and 7Cricket commentator Trent Copeland, Hobart Hurricanes Captain Elyse Villani, award-winning cricket writer and commentator Bharat Sundaresan and Australia’s most successful off-spin bowler Nathan Lyon are swapping the field for the quiz arena.

Their toughest opponent? Not a bowler, but the formidable Chaser and cricket expert Brydon Coverdale, aka The Shark.

In this adrenaline-filled special, the four stars will trade bat and ball for buzzers and brainpower as they attempt to outsmart one of television’s sharpest minds.

Playing for a cause close to many Australians, the team will compete to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation, with all winnings helping support breast cancer nurses across Australia.

Get ready for cricket trivia, competitive fire and edge‑of‑your‑seat entertainment.

Only one question remains: can they defeat The Shark?

The Chase Australia is an ITV Studios Australia production for the Seven Network.

Not gonna lie they should ditch the fire power offers. They seem like a waste of time, where you only get offered one additional step or don’t get offered any additional steps at all.

I don’t mind it. It gives a gamble and also a chance for the team to win some money. Also if the team gets like 18+ steps they don’t really need many more steps as they already have a good score. So the money for extra steps would be higher compared to if they only got under 15 steps etc

I don’t mind the fire power offers at the end. Way better than the money spinner they did last year which was more useless.
