Saw the promo for The Chase board game on 7mate on Wednesday night. It looks like it’s the updated version of the board game but with a new game board and without the electronic timer.

Production for the show has been halted for the rest of this year as AOK takes an extended break to focus on his mental health and complete the remaining handful of dates of his Johnny O’Keefe Shouts tour. He will return to filming in January 2020. Seven has a couple of weeks of new episodes in the can so viewers won’t miss out.

Not sure why they thought that worthy of an article. A couple of weeks of new episodes takes us through until non-ratings, when we go into repeat mode until the end of January, at which time they would show the new eps they’ve recorded in early January…

Was watching the show last night, did Andrew have a frog in his throat?
AOK will start filming the 2020 season this week according to Sunday Herald Sun. New episodes resume on Seven at 5pm tomorrow (February 3).

They should just use Larry Emdur until O’Keefe is well enough to return. Better still get Bradley Walsh out here for a few weeks. The audience is familiar with him, the show would likely get a ratings boost because of the novelty factor and he’s ten times funnier than Andrew. His on camera reactions when he lost awards at the NTAs last week were priceless.

Better yet get Larry or Bradley (unlikely) to be the permanent host. AOK’s OTT personality seems out of place on a serious quiz show.

Andrew has told the Sunday Herald Sun that he’s fit and ready to film new episodes of The Chase, and said a statement last week from Seven saying production had been stalled while he recovered from a health issue had taken him by “surprise.” Seven now said the production delay was caused by other things than Andrew’s health.
