I am looking forward to the new season. I have seen the country list and it covers multiple continents, one of the best spread of countries that they have done in a while.

It will also be good to see that Melbourne leg, which I saw them filming in Melbourne October last year. By the time that episode airs, it will be over a year since it was filmed.

It will also be interesting to see what The Amazing Race does for season 40. I am guessing that it will be some sort of returnee season and will probably end up being an o all winners, all runners-up or something along those lines.

Phil previously mentioned that some ideas they have been working through have been broader than just returnee’s. I was thinking about ideas other than just a returnee season they could do. I think a good idea would be to do a season that goes back to some locations and tasks of the past again. Such as going back to some of the most iconic (or toughest?) legs again. They could even do that with first-time travelers competing (people that have never left the US), or even a super competitive season with very experienced travelers.

CBS is showing the first two episodes of season 39 this week, so I hope Seven will make them available on 7plus this week also.

Yes episodes available on 7plus same day. Broadcast will be 13 days behind due to CBS having a 2 night premiere

I’ve just realised that TvCynic above says The Amazing Race is on 7Plus from 2 October which is tomorrow. It premieres today so we will be a day behind.

My mistake was to assume and I apologise. I knew that Seven were going early with TAR and not waiting for the 7 broadcast. That to me, meant that they would go same day. I should not have assumed.

Episode 1 Friday at 6pm on 7plus

Apologies

All good.

So is episode two on Saturday?

Yes I can confirm that one - Saturday 6pm and then follow the pattern of CBS as once a week but yes 7plus is 1 day behind.

Nothing yet.

Very disappointed. There’s no The Traitors US this week so was looking forward to having this to watch tonight.

Edit: Dropped at 7:40pm. Happy Days!

There must be something going on with the delivery of the episodes as episode two is not up yet same as last night.

Episode two has not been posted on 7plus as of this afternoon, so it looks like Seven and 7plus will be one episode behind CBS.

I don’t know what’s going on. Aaron mentioned above it would be on last night and then Fridays moving forward. So there must be some issue with episode two?

it’s up now
