Interview with Georgie Tunny in today’s Stellar section of the Herald Sun
They have a preview of the intro up on socials (with a silly lizard twist for anyone who’s seen that meme)
And I count 12 teams.
Needless to say, one “special force” of a team is missing … I think that should be indicative of how Ant & Dan will be treated in the show (and fairly so).
Interview with Rob Mills
According to synopses posted on 10’s online guide this morning, 13 teams started the race in Nepal, but only 11 teams would remain for Tuesday’s episode. That suggests either a double elimination, or a team had been disqualified before the start of the second leg.
I am not sure that is true. I have watched the episode. 1 team is eliminated in Monday’s episode
Radio competition tie in; Melbourne version at bit closer with Brendan Fevola one of the contestants.
97.3 in Brisbane
I’m guessing the other is the team that gets removed from the show due to the “off camera incident” that happened very early in the production (during a rest day between filming)
Ummm no. Was just a usual episode. 12 teams. Final team across the line was eliminated as per usual and then was ‘next time on TAR’ and credits rolled. Hmmmmm…
But since the incident happened at night, when they were on a break from filming, we may just see it announced at the start of the next episode.
I think they may not even call attention to it - they haven’t been featured in the intro and don’t look to be included in the start line banter (based on the clip on socials).
Other than the odd acknowledgement here and there or background moment, I bet they get nothing.
They can’t completely ignore it though. I think they can easily just say a team had breached the code of conduct and has been disqualified but we will continue with the race now.
It might be on another episode. Someone said that the synopsis said 2 teams eliminated in episode 1. I am just saying I only saw 1 team be eliminated. Maybe a different edit for the previews or synopsis wrong
I can only say this once more. The episode I watched had all 13 teams compete. It was a normal episode. 13 teams completed the episode and the team that crossed last was eliminated. 12 teams go to episode 2. Unless the episode I previewed there is a change when actually airs.
Assuming this is about Ant Middleton and his brother, he was featured as a contestant in the lift out poster in TV Week last week.
All 13 teams feature in the intro as the team names and their faces appear individually for each team
So that could mean what I said but when episode 2 rolls around there is an announcement at the start of the episode so technically there are 11 teams in episode 2
Thanks
I was relying on the version of the intro the show had posted on social media (no Ant & Dan)
Wednesday’s synopsis also says “11 remaining teams”. Something doesn’t add up.
