Thank God You’re Here (2023)

The crew did a very job creating a smaller version of the set of Smart Seat (aka Hot Seat).

Emma’s skit was based around a question: “Where would you be if you are on top of Mount McKenzie?” Emma had five attempts and used all four lifelines, but got the answer wrong each time. The quiz hosts gave the answer as Tanzania, however there is no mountain named Mount McKenzie in the country.

Great episode tonight, but wow they’re really flogging the TV format scenarios.

Mitch and Mark from The Block and Location Location Location Australia had a cameo in Rhys’ house construction site scene.

Interesting the entire closing credits were cut out tonight.

Urzila, Aaron, Luke And Gillian, Thank God You’re Here.

Wednesday, 4 September At 7.30pm On 10 And 10 Play.

When comedians step through the Thank God You’re Here blue door, there’s no telling what will be on the other side. They could be shot into space, whizzed back in time, or whisked to a different continent. The only thing that is guaranteed is comedy chaos.

Next week, the foursome faking it ‘til they make it are: Urzila Carlson, Aaron Chen, Luke McGregor and Gillian Cosgriff.

Host Celia Pacquola will make sure no-one goes through the wrong door, and a very special, top-secret judge will dole out words of encouragement along with a healthy dose of dishonourable mentions.

They never show the complete credits.

Yes they do.

Again, can people please actually read the threads and double check before posting blanket statements like that that appear as fact. It’s creeping back into this forum again and it’s just annoying and frustrating and not even factual.

Caught up on last night’s episode. Great episode. Rhys Nicholson killed it - hilarious in both his acts.

I’m not normally a huge Rhys fan but he was bloody hilarious last night.

He was good last time too.

Going a bit off topic but I remember with Comedy Inc i think and I may be wrong they actually filmed in the actual set where Who Wants to Be a Millionaire was filmed.

Catching up on this weeks episode, and I’m really enjoying Celia in the hosting role this year where she seems to have settled into the role a bit more - she has a great confidence and likability.

Correct Rhys began identifying as non binary in 2022. I was really glad Celia was using the correct pronouns for Geraldine. It is a difficult thing to adapt to sometimes and I often get friends pronouns incorrect too.

I noticed Tony used Rhys’ correct pronoun too when critiquing their performance.

Wendy Harmer is guest judge this week.

Julia Morris and Callum Hole have cameos in Aaron’s scene.

Too many “not going through the doors” this season.

Next week is: Ray O’Leary, Susie Youssef, Virginia Gay and Lloyd Langford

I wonder if they could give Glenn Robbins a run as a contestant on this iteration of the show. Mark Humphries would’ve been hilarious as well if only he wasn’t attached to Seven.

How do you mean?

They haven’t really been using the blue door. Too many people have been given a “special entrance “ out the back.

The blue door is kinda the charm of the show.
