Yeah basically a satellite engineer’s protest of the pricing and the fact HBO decided to scramble their signal.

I have also heard a story that a week before this he did the same thing for a few seconds with plain coloured bars. HBO didn’t bother to investigate that one thinking it was just a glitch.
