Because they are internal, i think is just a bit of fun between coworkers. Often stop and checks for stations end up at other tv stations. Eg, 9’s are sent to 10 when they are sharing footage together. So it may almost be a competition.

So, do you mean the stations need to share their feeds between each other internally? And this is a fun way of checking that everything works.

The internal slides prepare another station to record and to stop recording content that’s shared.

The slides allow another broadcaster to see a signal is being sent for the operator at the receiving end to see something on the screen other than black.
